Nintendo Made a Change

Had to rush to make this one before it became invalidated tomorrow - sorry for poorer sound quality. Just wanted to get some thoughts out. It seems many dataminers were wrong and a new city course is on the way in Mario Kart Tour, earlier than expected! This could put Wave 5 in June, assuming it is true. The fun part is that we're likely going to find out in tomorrow's direct!

I think Chuck has a good chance of making it. It would explain why they delayed LA Laps and rushed Bangkok Rush. It's also worth mentioning that the spider web is most likely a Special item, since it share similar code to other Special items.

I don’t see them revealing 2 Kongs with one track as they probably want each character to have a track dedicated to them when being revealed especially when you consider the impact it’ll have on Diddy Kong as his reception would be nonexistent if revealed with Funky & Kamek as those are characters people will lose their minds over, it’s likely we’re getting Diddy & Pauline in Wave 5 since those 2 have connections with DK, one is his nephew and the other’s a character DK has connections with, Petey, Kamek & Funky are great characters to end the BCP with since they have connections with the fanbase and getting shafted, Petey was planned for Wii but was scrapped probably in favor for Funky (though we don’t know) and hasn’t been relevant in a spin-off game until in recent years, Kamek has been a prominent figure but was scrapped twice the first time was reasonable but the second time was unfortunate, Funky is the big fan favorite from Wii but hasn’t been playable in years until Tour and if I recall his return in Tour crashed the game’s servers so if Diddy were to be revealed with 2 of those characters his nonexistent reception could lead to him & Funky (since you can’t have him if Diddy’s not there) getting cut in the next game and then the fanbase complains about them getting cut again

I completely agree with the fact that Other Characters deserve to be in Mk8 Deluxe other than Funky Kong. But there are so many people out there who are practically begging for Nintendo to Add him back to Mk8 Deluxe. From what I’ve seen, Funky Kong has a strong chance of Returning

Another thing to take into consideration is that if mobDK ends up being a Daisy themed course and the Wave 5 GCN course ends up being Mushroom Bridge, it gives more credibility to the theory that a GCN course was scrapped in favor of a Wii course as it would be awkward to have 2 Daisy courses in the same Wave. If this theory is true, the other Wave 6 Wii course is most likely Moonview Highway.

personally I have a lot of information saved on a google doc about who I think the final 5 slots will be. There are 6 weight classes and 6 dlc slots. Birdo is the first DLC slot, being a middleweight character and that row has the most middleweight characters. (mario, luigi, peach, daisy, tanooki, cat-peach and now birdo) Birdo came with Yoshi's Island. Slot 2: Petey Piranha. Weight: Super-Heavyweight, Track: Piranha Plant Cove, Placement is fitting since he'd be next to King Boo who is his partner in double dash. Slot 3: Pauline, weight cruiser (light-heavyweight aka rosalina weight) track: can shove her with any city track, or she might come with the possibility of mushroom city/mushroom bridge. Placement isn't that fitting but she has nowhere else to go, so putting her next to a female heavy (PGP) fits the best. Slot 4: Diddy Kong, Weight: featherweight, track: DK mountain, DK pass, or dk jungle parkway all fit. placement is BY FAR the most locked. that row has bowser/bowser jr, dry bowser/dry bones, wario/waluigi, and then donkey kong. All of those (except DK) have a partner/matching character on that row, so diddy fits perfectly. Slot 5: Kamek, weight: lightweight, track: any bowser's castle tracks, or even DS airship fortress. placement fits well since he's next to the koopalings, and he was originally gonna be in mk64 AND mk8wii u but got scrapped and his emblem went to tour. Final slot: Funky Kong, weight: heavyweight, track: wii rainbow road and DK mountain, placement fits at the end being the wild card character, he'd hype a lot of people up, and he fits as the final slot since MKWII is so beloved.

It's technically possible. They see Diddy as a DK character, not a Mario character I think. The emphasis on past MK games makes me think he should be the favorite to make it back though...

i still feel like we’ll get every tour main character that isn’t in mk8dx except for poochy (as he is on the mailbox in YI). If we get rid off all the clone characters and put them in a separate menu (like that one CPU bug did in an earlier wave), then there is a perfect amount of slots. This is excluding the snes characters, peachette, captain toad, ect. (Also, I believe the spiderweb objects are tied to mobbr)

They won’t port all Tour original tracks or tour drivers to 8 deluxe. Tour is a MK game in its own right, it will obviously have exclusive content

i wanna think the returning characters shouldn't be in tour to be in the bcp for any return, my list of characters for a return are Koopa paratroopa (GCN) Peety piranha (GCN) Diddy Kong (GCN) Funky Kong (WII) and R.O.B. (DS) and if i see any of the bullcrap characters like wiggler and honey queen in gonna lose it.

There are already 16 lightweights in the game. Adding 3 medium and 3 heavyweights would even out the ratio to 16:16:15. Mii's weight is adjustable but most people make their mii's heavy so it effectively becomes 16:16:16

Please learn what a joke is, chief. It is completely nonsensical to actually believe that they could come up with a Booster Pass trailer on the same day as my old video. I only joked because of the timing. And for the record, I predicted July. You can hear this literally in the first 20 seconds, here (or my recent video about the release date). This video only acknowledged the possibility it could happen in June due to some new circumstances. I also discussed how a teaser could happen that would effectively keep things out of June.
