@@nhodgie It's just not available to download on the App or Play Store. On the other hand, iPhone users are completely locked out of it...unless you know how to sideload apps on iPhone, which is not exactly a straightforward process either, or that worth it for just the Music app you know. And it's strange 'cause their mobile games are available to download. I can download Super Mario Run no problem. And yeah, it's very probable that it's the NSO requirement, but I mean it's always been like this since the Wii for people outside the supported countries to just use a different country entirely. Not the best solution, but unless they get reputable distributors (as in affiliated with Nintendo and up to their standards maybe) for each country, I don't think we're getting anything in an official capacity. But once again it is very strange because they did support even unsupported countries when they launched their unlimited-ish joy con repair warranty support. @Monke80s yeah the joycon thing had to be global to prevent lawsuits in respective countries. My guess is that the NSO requirement to use the service means they can't legally distribute where its TOS doesn't apply. Don't know for sure but from what you're saying that makes logical sense.

Ok but we all know what this app needs almost more than anything: The Xenoblade Chronicles Soundtracks. Those are genuine masterpieces. I say this as someone who shilled 50 bucks on a Xenoblade 2 Soundtrack CD recently when she went to Japan, cause I had lost all hope of Nintendo ever providing them for me digitally. I even had to borrow my dad's external disc drive so I could eventually put the files on my phone. And then manually rename every single track because my phone displayed all the Japanese as "????" by "????" from the album "???????????". Oh yeah I forgot to mention - those tracks did have the composer names in the files. So there is that. I don't know if it's a Japan thing as much as a Nintendo thing, because all game soundtracks on spotify do credit their composers as well. And in my JRPGs, they usually are pretty high up in the credit roll too. So yeah..

on one hand, i can definitely side with the 'Internet Backlash', because these composers put a lot of effort into making these worlds come to life through the music that plays in the background-- way too much effort to just be blanketed under "it's Nintendo's Music now"... ...but on the other hand, i also dont need Credits to be on Absolutely Every Product ever (like with Remastered/Remade games-- a simple "thanks to the Original staff" is all i need, not an entirely-seperate credits sequence that ive already seen), and when a game has a soundtrack thats interesting enough to listen to outside of the game, then im always able to do My Own research...for example, since i enjoy Koji Kondo's work in the Zelda series, i already know that he also did a lot of Mario and StarFox games...same way i'll "follow" a band's members, even if they leave/break up the original band (like, because i listened to Nirvana, i was quick to latch onto the Foo Fighters, because of Dave Grohl...for example)
