I still think this was the time I was the most excited for any up and coming game system. The Wii Remote was an absolute genius of a controller. Sadly, I don't think the industry will see such a unique phenomenon ever again.

Actually 0:28 would be wii music with the orchestra mode, this makes even more sense knowing that that game was made in the same time as wii sports and wii play. 0:34 would also be wii music with the drummer mode. 0:45 is probably trauma team or an early version of it.

@@Betin264 nintendo revolution is too long of a name. they chose Wii because its understandable in all languages, the two "ii" in Wii resemble two players standing up, and it sounds like the word "we"

There was no Wii motion plus at the time it was the prototype dongle for the nunchucks which was for some reason a lot larger then the one we know today

I started playing the Wii in 2010, I remember the MKW commercials in 2009 with the WiiWheel damn I wanted to play it so badly, good thing my cousin gave me his Wii. Say what you want, but the Switch is nothing compared to the Wii. I wish they had continued it.

Uhh.... The Wiimote works just fine. It's just that most developers didn't use it properly until mid-2008. The Motion + was made because Nintendo wanted the Wiimote to be more precise (excluding IR pointing).

I'll bet the original Wii remote had a gyroscope, but sometime before launch, the head of Nintendo thought, "No, let's release that as a separate peripheral sometime down the road." And thus, we were given a controller with a lousy accelerometer to do all of this. It just wasn't possible, and the hardcore gamer was DOOMED!
