We 100% will get a new 3D Mario as a launch title for Switch 2. It’s the 40 anniversary of the series and there are no other big headers to be a launch title. I’m hoping for an open world platformer that takes the foundation of Bowsers Fury and improves upon it. Getting to explore the mushroom kingdom and every world throughly would be so fun.

8:00 Idk…some of those games were low budget or by a different game developer. Not to mention that a lot of them were spin-offs if that means anything. It’s more likely that October is when whatever new Mario Part comes out. Not to mention October and November are good places for companies to sell products for the holiday season. If anything, because of the holiday season might be why we may get the new Mario game and Nintendo console in October. (If it the release date)

The pattern of Mario games releasing in October is probably a coincidence but October is a good prediction for when the switch 2 will release anyway my prediction is anytime in the second half of 2025 i expect it to be early second half of 2025 but it is definitely releasing second half of 2025

Its literally insane to think that the Zune HD had the same processor family that the Nintendo Switch has to this day. A Tegra chip that Nvidia discontinued literally years ago, forcing Nintendo to rely on a warehouse of ancient Tegra tech while the world waits for what a modern Nintendo might look like. God that chip came out SO LONG AGO. You think the Switch is old? The tech inside it was old when the Switch launched.

I totally agree that the next mainline 3D Mario is going to be a launch title. My guess is it'll be very similar to Bowser's Fury.

No, I disagree. Mario will sell regardless of whether it is a launch title. Gotta give a chance to other games like switch did with zelda. Besides, other IP will give people better memories of the system. I think launching it with donkey Kong is a good move. It is not that it can’t go mainstream like Metroid or fire emblem, but isn’t performing great sales wise, probably also go 3D to give a bigger impact, potentially even open world. Save Mario for holiday is also a better move to promote the system in a better state.

i wouldn't weigh too much importance on a review score, the points they made in said review were very strange though. the guy reviewing the game seemed to despise it for doing things differently from previous m&l games and factors such as the openings of new areas spending a while panning on where you need to go felt like minor annoyances compared to what the 5/10 review score would imply. still i dont think its a good idea to go to big review companies for objective ratings on games, since their reviews are usually all writren by individuals attempting to represent the entire company's opinion. reviews are subjective, but the existence of a giant company which paints itself as an objective network of reviewers seems to imply that reviews can be interpreted as an objective endeavour, which i highly disagree with.

The switch has sold 146 million consoles. If it sells 4 million next year and 4 or 5 million 2 years into the successor's lifespan it would beat the PS2 in sales. There is a good Nintendo will have the best selling console in 3 or so years.

I personally disagree with the October 2025 idea. Huge markets like the UAE, Muslim Asian and African countries don't celebrate Christmas. People young and old play and buy video games during the summer holidays in my country. Selling to those people in the first few months is critical in keeping momentum. Also, releasing in October would give the console little launch push for the holiday season. Consoles are huge investments costing in the hundreds for a console, controller(s), games, and accessories. April 2025 is the latest they can push it imo. Parents and kids are the demographic for Nintendo. Nice vid tho
