I remember she was mentioned in a cutscene with Amy in Sonic Frontiers. Amy said she should catch up with Cream and Sticks, maybe even plan a girls trip. Honestly I really like both Cream and Sticks, so if they ever make a new Sonic Heroes I think the 3 of them would be a great Trio. I remember also seeing a Sonic Fan art of Shadow and Cream and thought the two of them could work as a duo for an adventure animated series. They could bring out the best in each other and their relationship would be something like Cream is that little Sister Shadow didn’t realize he needed.

If I had to put a reason to why Cream and Charmy were dropped from the main roster of characters (looking at Sonic Rivals 2 and Team Sonic Racing for Chaotix appearances, ig Charmy had Forces other than that?), it's likely due to the idea that they try to make Sonic and the characters "cool". Either they don't feel like it works with the kid characters or they haven't made it work so far. But what they seem to miss is that characters like Cream and Charmy do so well at making other characters look cool as well and almost act inspired by them. Cream is polite and looks up to Sonic, she also tries to bring Amy down to earth when she's a bit too obsessed with Sonic (which since Amy hasn't needed that for years, so this could also play into the reason Cream was dropped from main cast). She even gives characters like Tails, Knuckles and Big a chance to play the role of big brother in defending her at points. Charmy on the other hand highlights the big brother relationship of Vector and Espio, while also commenting characters like Sonic and Shadow are cool. I personally think Cream and Cheese should have been in Frontiers for the first island 👀

I've been saying since the mid 2000s that every Sonic game should have Cream. Precisely for the original idea she had in Sonic Advance 2. A beginner/easy character for those who just want to rush through the game. A tutorial character if you will. Then you use any other character for a more specialized ability. This works especially well for Sonic games because you can play the first time with Cream and learn the levels. Then play it a second time with Sonic to speed through the levels. But Sega and the Sonic franchise is such a mess that I doubt they're even thinking about that level of game design.

I am more concerned about Blaze because at least Blaze is in a comparable level to Sonic and Shadow, strong as hell, fast as hell, with a super form, with her own reality, she's basically an equivalent but she has been sidelined for way too long, other than some mentions here and there confirming that she still exists post 06 canon Blaze is pretty much non existent and it hits hard cuz she's my favorite character from the sonic series, like you have a top tier right there with her and a very unique one unlike shadow and sonic who are basically the same but no, Blaze gone ruling her kingdom or something.

The main problem woth the rewrites is rhat they "don't even bother updating them with new animation or change the lip-sync to match the dialogue," and Classic Sonic talking to Knuckles is the main example of that issue. Fans have a right ti be upset over them.

Sonic Rush, Sonic Battle, and the Zombot arc proved that Cream can be used effectively in a story and be a compelling/moving character. In terms of her canonical "usefulness," I feel like Sega is wasting so much potential. She can communicate with Chao, and that could be really useful in any story where Chao became relevant again. Furthermore, she has super powerful healing abilities in Sonic Chronicles and Sonic Battle. Why not canonize that so she can be the team's dedicated support, carrying people with her flight and healing any injuries?

I always hated that Amy was obsessed with Sonic. So I always said I wish they'd dial back on her crush for Sonic. So I'm glad they are scaling it back.

I always thought Tails and Cream ought to have interacted more and been more of a siblings kind of team than Sonic and Cream, since they were both the little kids. Just their age and personalities made them seem similar enough that I felt they should have been friends.

honestly they could have just let cheese call more chao to make cream more useful in the war, imagine a wall of chao just falls on you, or 50 different chaos just start attacking you from everywhere. But if gemerl (or something else) isn’t added to mainline, cream is probably never gonna be let on an adventure with sonic because of vanilla.

I miss Cream...she is top five Sonic characters for me. Getting into this series for the first time I gravitated towards her character (along with Amy) because- well I tend to take notice/grow attached to female characters first- and I just like the idea of cute and girly characters that are also badasses. But I hate how SEGA/Sonic Team limted her, by making her an adorable young girl that can take on enemies but also at the same time don't want said character to ruin her image of a sweet little girl. Supporting characters barely get enough screen-time as is. And I hate how SEGA has just forgotten about the Amy/Cream best friend-sisterly dynamic 😞
