I just feel like mario games truly shine with a great story! It seems like all the Mario games that do this happen to be my favorite. I even restarted a playthrough of this game after getting a Wii again recently, just as fun as I remembered it and still really love the music

You, know when you go to the Sammer kingdom after the void consumed it with Bowser he literally says "This is messed up. I'm all for being evil but this is just overkill", like even Bowser being what he is acknowledging that is disturbing speaks by itself.

chapter 7 scared the hell out of me, way more than going inside the deadly void in chapter 8 and the destruction of chapter 6 combined. On top of literally being send to hell in a mario game, your whole party is gone, the pure heart is dead, you have no pixls, tippi isn't there when she would actually be helpful, and the return pipe you took for granted doesn't work anymore. It's insane how many mixed feelings this game can throw at you.

Ik that probably no one cares, but in the myths, the river styx is where Achilles got his curse, it doesn’t technically grant immortality but it makes all weapons unless striking the weak spot useless. One must have an anchoring to the mortal world in order to survive getting dipped in the river Styx

Not many people liked it. I loved this game, despite the difficulty. I beat it, twice. The story was so good! SS was the worst. I personally think of Super as the best Paper game, especially controls. I cannot express how much this game is underrated.

I'm fully convinced that people that hate this game with a passion haven't actually played it all the way through. They made it a chapter or two in, got frustrated that it wasn't an RPG, and quit it. SPM is right up there with PM64 and TTYD as a classic, and the creepy elements in it are part of why.

Can't understand people saying that this game is bad. For me (someone who played every game of the series) this game and pm 2 are sharing the first place. It has a very very great Story (better than the story of pm 2 in my opinion), a good combat System (I understand people saying that it's bad. You really have to like it, but I have no problem with it.) and a good graphic. The soundtrack is also just love. All in all just an absolute legendary game.

See I also love this game but I don't think the amount of work put in this game gets recognized. Such as the secret character's and the stupidly hard 100 floor trials. Even the smallest details like the fish that grew over the game! Honestly one of the best Mario games I have ever played and I'm so glad its finally getting some of the recognition it deserves!
