While not crossing the line into M usually, those themes are not actually unusual. Xenoblade and FE don't shy away from themes of domestic abuse and suicide. The Famicom Detective Club remakes have absolutely gruesome and brutal depictions of murder but also somehow never got the M rating when other VNs with the same content get slapped with that M. Somehow, Nintendo seems to get slapped with lowered rating usually even when it should be an M. So to see a horror game from Nintendo slapped with an M, that's exciting because it tells me it will be _very_ dark.

+badlatency Good points. If even Nintendo couldn't get a slide to a 'T' rating, then this game will be *DARK.* It's all about that family-friendly reputation. It's how Zelda: Ocarina of Time got an 'E' rating despite Dead Hand, the Bottom of the Well, & the Shadow Temple. Especially when it had the red blood before the later censoring. Zelda: Majora's Mask too. Nintendo got away with murder especially back then! I just want to know who exactly is making this. It's definitely homegrown so which 1st Party studio is it?

Bloober didnt say they were collaborating with nintendo, they said they're collaborating with someone to put out a **bloober team published game** on a nintendo console. Emio seems to be published by nintendo, unless this game has 2 separate publishers, I think its more likley that these are 2 separate games

They also said: "we are working on it in cooperation with the world's best game creators for Nintendo platforms" Nintendo are the world's best game creators for Nintendo platforms. They might not be the same project but with the information we have and the timing it is currently most likely that they are.

From what rumours have been said online that Bloober Team is currently working on a new Nintendo horror game. It sounds great on paper however Bloober Team is currently in bed with SweetBabyInc and whatever this new horror game is, if this game is indeed being developed by them, is going to have ESG/DEI Wokeness thrown in. I really feel like I want to be celebrating this news but how many times have I been burned by all AAA Companies thowing in ESG/DEI Propaganda changing Genders and changing Races to fit their political agenda/narratives. If there is any trace of this in this new game then to my mind this whole game is ruined before it has even launched and I won't be buying it. Look at what Bloober Team did to Silent Hill 2. They destroyed it and made it for the Modern Audience. They made it for a bunch of people who doesn't even play video games. This insipid poison needs to be purged from the games industry and if they fail to listen to their core audience then I honestly want another video games crash to happen.

You know, it would make things more unsettling if Nintendo just suddenly drops a demo for Emio on the eShop without any notice or even a visible page on the Coming Soon section. Just a page on the Games with Demos section for everyone could download the demo. Alternatively, Nintendo could post an eerie notice on the News section of the Switch's Home menu and that's the only way you could get to the page to download the demo.

Do we even know for sure if this is being developed in-house at Nintendo, or is just something they're publishing? Because that's a big difference. And I'm going to assume it is the latter. Still, there are games like Eternal Darkness, which to my knowledge was published by Nintendo, but not created by them. Even so, I wouldn't get my expectations too high for this. My guess? It will just be some super low-budget digital interactive storybook type 'game' that may have some dark themes, yes, maybe even some scenes of blood (big maybe) and will most likely be Japan-only. I bet you all I am at least 90% correct.
