If Prime 4 doesn’t do anything radically new, I honestly think its best shot at becoming a bigger deal is to be THE launch game for a hyped up new console that people are gonna wanna buy a game for. Remastered showed me that once you get a Metroid Prime game into people’s actual hands, their mind changes significantly. But that’s the trouble. How do you convince them to try it?

Bundle a download code of MP4 for the first month the switch 2 is out. People who were already gonna buy the switch 2 will be happy with the bonus, and those who were gonna hold off will maybe get it sooner rather than waiting to get the "free" game

Anna is the main merchant of the fire emblem series, she’s the series most common reoccurring character appearing in almost every game. So a code name Anna at Nintendo is probably fire emblem related. I’m guessing a remake or a spin-off

Most Fire Emblem code names have been Iron[#], so Awakening was Iron14, Fates Iron15, Echoes 16, 3H 17, Engage 19. They skipped 18, so some think that was a remake that was pushed. #FE was Stainless, Heroes was Brave, Warriors was Troop, 3 Hopes was Season. Anna would not be Fire Emblem related.

Switch Sports might have sold 13 million, but it's a crap game compared to Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort lol. There's no charm or passion in Switch Sports...it's just a hollow empty husk.

I agree, and I feel like the first mistake was them trying to replace the Mii’s. Just in general, I hated how the Switch felt like it was trying to slowly get rid of the Mii’s and thinking that no one would care about it, but all it did was make fans more upset

I just really need that new 3D Mario, man. I’m hoping desperately that it’s an ambitious, innovative open-world title that rethinks the format in a lot of fun and unique ways. Mario’s such a vibrant and creative franchise, and Nintendo has used it as the springboard for many industry paradigm shifts over the course of the years, be it arcade or home consoles or 3D gaming. It’s weird to see that the franchise has taken so long, but with Odyssey and Bowser’s Fury dipping their toes, it seems like the time is now.

Actually, Splatoon 2 was released only 2 years after Splatoon 1, and it was even during a console jump. Perhaps Splatoon 3 was rushed to make room for 4 on the new console, similar to how the Wii U era was rushed to make room for Switch era. But of course, only time will tell.

Yeah, the rumored open world Super Mario game will most probably be a launch title! And a "Switch Sports 2" would make most sense if it comes bundled with the console. Looks from all of this that the Switch 2 will have an amazing launch and an amazing first year! Viva la Nintendo!

I feel like Nintendo needs to release something Zelda in 2025 to the new switch. Knowing that it probably won’t be a new mainline game since totk just released make me lean towards a windwaker and twilight princess hd port or remaster on the switch 2 with updated graphics. It’s what zelda fans have been asking for for ages now and will definitely sell a lot. I’ve also heard rumors of a possible ocarina of time remaster for the switch 2 due to how quite Nintendo has been this year with Zelda content however that is a stretch

something like a new Nintendoland would be cool. with simplified mini-games from all the big Nintendo franchises. i played Nintendoland well into the Switch era because the games were easy for younger players and all good introductions to the assorted franchises. like the Zelda section could just be a BotW-ish remaster to show off the Switch 2 specs while mixing it up a bit and making Zelda the playable character and have it be 1/3rd-ish the content of a BotW or TotK. like 50 'shrines' and 3 total big dungeons/temples + final boss.

Nintendo will hold onto Prime 4 even if it's finished for a while, I promise you they want Prime 2 and 3 to be out for people to play before Prime 4 is released. They aren't going Prime 1 Remaster to Prime 4, that makes no sense. Maybe they are holding Prime 4 back a bit to give more time to remaster Prime 2 and 3 instead of just porting them or such. In the direct I just want Prime 2 Remastered. That's it. Anything else is extra.

Open world Mario Kart. Imagine it: this is what they've been working on all this time, except it's not actually it's own game: it is its own fully-fledged Mario Kart that exists within the new open world 3D Mario in which Kart driving is the primary method of world traversal, intricate to the point where you can drive to certain locations that are their own entire Mario Kart courses where you can challenge your friends online. It is Nintendo's big IP afterall.

From past experience, Nintendo doesn't usually have too many big titles for the first year of a new console. I'd be hard pressed to see more than a few remasters/rereleases and maybe one or two big games for 2025.

I agree with MH Wilds being on the new system. But I'm not getting it. I like MH, but I only buy every other one, I get burnt out, they are all the same game and you do the same thing in each game, I got MH3U on Wii U it was amazing. Got MH4U on 3DS, it was awful. Skipped MH World, then got MH Rise, I liked it, I got the DLC but only played like 15 minutes of it lol, waste of money I know. Skipping Wilds and we'll see with the next one.

i highly doubt nintendo would ever make a “football” game (i assume you’re referring to american football and not what you guys call soccer since i’ve never heard those terms for soccer before). american “football” is basically only played in america. nintendo is a japanese studio makimg games with a worldwide appeal. there’s a reason we don’t get more sluggers games. soccer makes sense because it’s the worlds most popular sport. tennis and golf make sense too. if anything, a mario basket ball game makes more sense than american football. it’s just too niche a sport. literally no one outside of america cares for it. the closest outside america has is rugby elsewhere, but that’s still different enough and is a different sport that just has similarities.

@@bethanyreynolds7270it’s not “millions” that disagree tbh. it’s basically just die hard metroid fans and hardcore nintendo fans that say it’s one of the best ever. metroid prime didn’t sell that well, on either version. i think between all versions (including trilogy) is still only about 3 million units. it’s a niche game.
