Yup, Kimmy's right! When he said name volleyball players, what came to mind was Kerri Walsh-Jennings and Misty May-Treanor. Aka the dream team where they won gold medals in beach volleyball for three straight Olympics at Athens 2004, Beijing 2008, and London 2012. I remember tuning in to all their 2012 matches because I was hooked, and the final against a fellow American duo was something, especially since it would be their last match together. Misty retired from competitive play that day so it was bittersweet.

How to not be hurt by volleyball: -make sure it hits the flat surface of ur forearms -wear the volleyball sleeves on ur forearms if you dont like the sting -be a setter that only uses ur hands -its ok if the skin turns red and you bruise the first time this video made me miss playing volleyball

volleyball is awesome, especially with 4-6 players on each team. For the first few session's its going to hurt no matter your technique. The correct technique, is to lay your arms flat - do not bent your elbows, or "hit" the ball when you are receiving it. You let the ball bounce off your arms. The correct hand position is one similar to when you are getting water in your palms, except you put you put your thumbs flat and forward. I'm not particularly good at volleyball, so I do tend to use my feet quite often as well.
