Two models 7" and 8" 12gb ram 128-256gb storage. Power between 5,5 teraflops docked 2,8 handheld. 16gb ram 512gb storage. Power between 8,5 teraflops docked 4,8 handheld. Cartridges are wider so can't enter a regular Switch. Both consoles are thicker.

I’m trying to predict something crazy because Nintendo ALWAYS does something people can’t believe. The OG switch only had 32 GB of storage
@frowningboat8039Ай бұрын
@@RaysNintendoTalk17True, although back then 32GB was widely available and cheap, 256GB is like that now and even if they didn't want to go that high, 128GB now costs the same or less than 32 then.
@Hi_Names_NatАй бұрын
it's going to be ~200gb. its storage is 256 gb but the OS/recovery/etc takes up about 50 gb, leaving 200gb for the user partition (imo)
@frowningboat8039Ай бұрын
@@Hi_Names_Nat probably around 210 but I get what your saying, you won't be able to use all 256GB just like with a phone.
@bljman3638Ай бұрын
I think it was already sort of confirmed that it should have 256gb of storage and 12gb of ram, which honestly shouldn't cost that much more. Maybe the ram being LPDDR5X could bump up the price, but seeing as the original switch was very limited by it's memory speed & bandwidth I would say it's the right choice.

Never ever is it going to be 1080p in portable mode. This would drain the battery within a couple of hours. The Steam Deck does 800p, and that is plenty enough for a handheld screen.

12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB SSD storage would be awesome. Maybe similar performance to a smartphone in handheld mode and similar performance to PS4/Xbox Series S in docked mode is realistic
@jasonmg99Ай бұрын
i'm gonna guess (before even watching the video) is it will be like an ASUS ROG Ally in handheld mode, as was predicted months ago, and in docked mode, will be within 25% of PS5 level with the DLSS upscaling giving it a visual boost when utilized. I am also thinking that if it drops the Switch name and goes with something different, i would call it the Nintendo Flex, indicating it is a system where folks can truly play their own way, which can be standard buttons and joysticks only, with or without tilt controls, limited motion control, enhanced motion control, tabletop mode, attached/detached joycon, no rumble, standard rumble, hd rumble and ultra hd rumble, single touch input or full touchscreen controls using multiple finger movements etc, and even dual screen or no dual screen assuming it is going to utilize streaming TV features which was also rumored previously.
@crazyTaco2213Ай бұрын
My guess is that graphically it'll be just slightly more powerful than a PS4, but the added DLSS and ray-tracing capabilities will make games look nearly as good as Xbox Series S
@RaysNintendoTalk17Ай бұрын
This is the dream tbh
@wiremesh2Ай бұрын
The limitations of the Series S often shows in resolution. Many cross-gen titles actually run at higher res on PS4 Pro than on Series S. The Switch 2 with Nvidia hardware will have the best ray tracing and upscaling tech of any current console. So I think it should punch well above its weight despite being less powerful overall.
@crazyTaco2213Ай бұрын
Let's not forget about performance though. It's unlikely that Switch 2 games will support 120Hz or exceed PS5/XSX in levels of raytraced detail. We're talking about a graphics chip that is largely intended for tablets and smartphones. The results won't be cut and clear until the console comes out. @@wiremesh2

I agree with you on March-May, and I also agree it will probably be April for release, even though I would prefer March because I'm so freaking excited
@RaysNintendoTalk17Ай бұрын
September reveal to April release adds so much more time for them to market the thing as well as letting the Switch finish up its final fiscal year when all the financial reports drop at the end of March! Agreed tho I really hope it comes sooner!
@ewhitlock83Ай бұрын
I honestly never had a problem with storage on the Switch, only because of the ability to add an SD card and the fact that I've always played physical media. The only way I could see storage on the Switch 2 64gb storage being a problem is if there's no slot for an sd card, and they get rid of physical games. But since I think that's highly unlikely, then I won't have a problem with 64gb. Also, for me, who only plays docked, buying an OLED was a waste of money. I had one only because I liked the white, but for my next Switch I'm not buying an OLED because it's pointless if you only played docked. And if they ever release an OLED Switch 2, I won't even consider buying one, I'll just stick with my original Switch 2.

@R.B.90Ай бұрын
I would hope in handheld it's 1440p. Only because I don't really want something to be upscaled from 1080p to 4k. Seems to much of a leap. If it's native 1440p in handheld, upscale to 4k dock it makes more sense. I would also hope all 1st party games are 60fps in both modes. It's not that crazy of an ask. I'm sure the base Rog Alley could do that with Switch games now and I got that console for $399 last Christmas on sale. If the Switch 2 is $499 and it's sold at a greater loss (since Nintendo is all about getting hardware into households) then I think it could be a shockingly powerful handheld.
@wiremesh2Ай бұрын
You're thinking of this the wrong way. It should work like the Switch 1, but to a greater degree. Games on Switch 1 aren't upscaled when docked. They literally run at a higher resolution because the system can increase its clock speeds when connected to external power. Combine that with the rumors that the new dock will include a cooling fan and we could see some pretty impressive upgrades while docked. Also, DLSS actually does a pretty impressive job upscaling from even pretty low resolutions.

I dunno is switch 2 releasing in spring/summer or holiday 2025? If they announce it in October then it's gonna be summerish but I think if they announce anything it will be a metroid prime beyond direct in October where at the very end when they drop the release date say it will be launching with the next gen and giving the console an official name. I don't even think they will show what it looks like. But tbh after the poor reception of the PS5 pro I think they might wait until the holiday season to launch and if that's the case we won't see anything on switch 2 until at least February

So you think a console that released 8 years ago is only gonna be $50 more expensive then the used 1? With inflation , and the fact they already started pricing games at 69? I think 450 is the minimum. I don't want cheap ass parts on a $300 priced machine. I want Nintendo to invest as much as possible into that DLSS .
@RaysNintendoTalk17Ай бұрын
The parts to make it are cheaper than ever and Nintendo historically sells their consoles cheaper. Most first party games will definitely be 70 dollars with some exceptions to help make up for that. They learned their lesson from the 3DS pricing debacle

Wow, for a video put out 12 hours ago your information is really kind of off, almost like you've not REALLY been paying attention to all the information floating around about the Switch successor system. People have tracked ACTUAL HARDWARE MOVEMENTS for the system so we already know in general the internal specs of the system as well as it's rough dimensions. There have already been plenty of videos and tweets that cover this info in detail. Past that, you didn't even touch on the fact that Vietnam was just hit with a massive hurricane and flooding that has completely shut down their commercial districts which include one of the main locations that manufacture Nintendo consoles. This just started at the end of last week so the repercussions will likely not be fully known for months to come BUT it is very possible that this will delay the launch and subsequently the announcement of the Switch successor system.
