I really, really hope they return to a more personal, friendly UI with more character like in the consoles before switch. This includes menu music, street pass and bubbly animations.

While i think the 3ds is TOO lively and cartoonish, the switch is dull and lifeless. Perhaps something like the ps4, thats definitely my favourite console UI.

I’m gonna go ahead and say that they’re using that patent and even the top Type C port on the switch to allow a second screen so they can emulate DS and 3DS games going forward.

I love the idea of having in game graphics settings be able to be tied to performance modes, so with one toggle you could go from battery saver mode at 30 fps and all low, to performance where you target like 40 fps with medium or high settings. valve should do this too ✨

Who knows, since the sticks are larger maybe they're using pro controller sticks as those don't seem to drift as easily as the joycons. I've had mine for 4 years and no drift so far.

​@@naturallyjoshTheyre going pretty much off of rumours. The screen being one of the cheaper types like qned, lcd, or ips does sound realistic though. They need to cut costs to have the "ps4 power" were being promised while also keeping physical games and docking

Not a fan of using your phone as a secondary screen...Nintendo needs to develop its own 2nd screen attachment instead. I think they will want to exploit the massive 3DS/DS library to boost its catalog for Switch 2 as they have already ported ALL the good Wii U games.

The SoC is perfectly capable of native 4k, depending on game of course. It also has DLSS. It's an 8 core A78c and a custom Ampere GPU with back ported Ada features.

And it’ll be mighty silly to play a game in 4K on a little handheld screen. I’m really not buying that with 4K. Nintendo has never really cared about performance and high graphic fidelity. I think the bare minimum we’re gonna get is 1440 P somewhere with enough power to make it perform 60 FPS

The switch might switch to a faster SD cartridge to load faster or it might just do it like consoles where they install the complete game on the harddrive.

Having more options is better not worse. You will probably play maxed out settings for 1h 45 min Or battery mode 3H. So your choice will depend on your journey time and access to a socket or power bank.
