My prediction for Switch 2 Games for year one are Metroid Prime 4 as a launch Title, some Third Party Titles to come out along the same time, a Month or 2 later we get that New 3D Mario or a Mario Kart, a Kirby Game of some type, Smash Bros, a Zelda Remaster, and finally Star Wars Republic Commando 2 Sev's Revenge. Lol

I think a 3D Smash Bros game would be sick. They could have a roster of like 20 of the classics, and every character has a completely unique moveset on a 3D stage.

Generation 10 coming in, let's say, the holiday of 2026 would be a big deal, considering that 2026 is the 30th anniversary of Pokémon as a whole.

It’ll be interesting, because with backwards compatibility there will already be Mario Kart, Mario Party, Smash, Splatoon, Animal Crossing, etc games available. They’re going to have to do a lot more than just “series X now on system Y”

with your logic 90% of game franchises wouldnt exist for any console, backwards compatibility only goes so far, with the biggest jump in console specs for nintendo consoles u can be sure all their franchises will get sequels just like they did on switch, i mean u have 2 zeldas on switch, 2 splatoons, many pokemon games, 3 mario party not to mention a ton of ports that sold exceptional its called switch 2, the game plan is literally in the name, sequels for everything is a given as long as the games remain creative and look even better then its business as usual

I'm hoping we get both Wind Waker and Twilight Princess on Switch because it would strange if we only got the one 2000's Zelda GameCube game that got an HD remaster on Wii U and not the other as well.

Well 2024 was alright I guess since we got a new Mario Party and we have the comebacks of both Mario and Luigi and Epic Mickey. But I know I was hoping that this year we would get both remakes of Kirby Triple Deluxe and Kirby Planet Robobot in a two-pack Collection and also having a remake of Tomodachi Life to come to Switch this year but it never happened and it's sad that we didn't get DLC for Super Mario Bros Wonder. So my predictions for 2025 are seeing what Switch 2 is finally gonna look like, Getting some new Mario Stuff and Games for Mar10 Day and Mario's 40th Anniversary like the next 3D Mario, Mario Kart 9 or X, Luigi's Mansion 4, A new Wario Land Game, a new Donkey Kong, a new Yoshi game, a sequel or a new Mario Super Sluggers, and a new Paper Mario game. They can show us what the next 3D Kirby game the sequel for Kirby and the Forgotten Land of what it's going to be like and maybe we could see King Dedede, Meta Knight, and (for the first time ever for being Kirby's new Allies) Clawroline and Elfilin being playable characters to go along with Kirby and Bandana Waddle Dee and giving us new copy abilities and upgrades, new mouthful modes, and new lands to explore. They can show us that fake leaked 2D Kirby Game Kirby and the Celestial Star and telling us who this Susie-related Kirby female character Polly about how she got here and meet Kirby and if she is Susie's sister or something. We can get new games like Donkey Kong, Wario, Yoshi, Star Fox, Animal Crossing, The Legend of Zelda, and Punch-Out but I don't know. And I know a HD remake of Kirby Planet Robobot is coming to Switch next year but I'm not gonna buy it unless they can add Kirby Triple Deluxe with Kirby Planet Robobot and make it a two-pack Collection so then we would have all the Modern Kirby Games in one console so that would make me happy if they do that next year and I still need to beat Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe 100% still before we move on to the next Kirby Game. And I do hope we get to see a remake or a sequel for Tomodachi Life come to Nintendo Switch and adding the Miitopia Mii Maker in it so then we would have both Miitopia and Tomodachi Life on Switch now that would be cool for next year. But yeah I hope next year will be good for Nintendo since they will show the next console the Switch 2 and do something special for Mario's 40th Anniversary so I can't wait to see what they're gonna do for next year I can't wait.

Personally I feel like Mario Kart might be closer to the holiday release. I think 3D Mario would probably be what they'd prioritize since that'll more likely be the game that really shows off what the new system is capable of and be a lot more impressive. Not that a new Mario Kart wouldn't, obviously, but the former just feels like it'd be a lot more impressive of a title to have in that role. Especially if it is lining up for Prime 4 at launch to showcase what it can do for Switch games. That plus I'm assuming both of these games would've been developed in tandem with each other, so if there's any characters or locations taken from the 3D Mario and put into Kart, I think they'd probably want to put that game out first.

Both Xenoblade X and Legacy would be insane in 2025... But I'd be so down. I'm not getting my expectations too high and hoping to at least see Legacy next year and have it released in around March - summer 2026 🤔

That would be nice. I'm not sure I believe in MP 2 and 3 having separate releases (previous vid) or that there actually is a new Monolith Soft IP but maybe. One thing I think is that going forward we shouldn't think of Switch 1 and 2 games but rather of games that may or may not be Switch 1 compatible, I believe that can go on for years and give us things like 2D Zelda titles, remasters of older games, Mario RPGs etc.

It does feel like Nintendo is waiting to make sure they have a full year of great game releases lined up. Can't wait to see what they, and third parties, have for us this year.

As for Legends Z-A not being able to be earlier, you forget that in the leak a guy had a basically finished version of the game...so the game was supposed to come out in 2024....so it could be shown off in February and come out in April. Gamefreak revealed New Pokemon Snap for the first time in February 2021 and it released TWO months later in April. So Gamefreak could do that with Legends Z-A.

If you’d put an asterisk with Wii sports, then Mario Kart 8 needs one as well for the same reason. It was bundled every year with the switch.

@ In the video he said you’d have to put an asterisk next to Wii sports with how many it’s sold because it was bundled with the Wii. Mario Kart 8 was in bundle deals with the switch every holiday season and throughout each year since the switches 1st holiday season and throughout the years following giving it a ton of its sales as well. It wasn’t a 60 million+ seller on its own accord, it was because it was bundled when people were buying consoles for other people.

@@jockson7574 I don’t think they’ll do a port. You’ll be able to play it on ns2, but it won’t be a different, more advanced game. I think the next Mario Kart is just around the corner. I’m just saying the asterisk when touting sales numbers because of the bundles. I think it’d be a 30 million+ seller on its own. Not the 60+ that it is.

Yes, if you are looking for a Switch getting an excellent extra game in the form of Mario Kart for as much or less than you otherwise would have paid without the bundle has definitely boosted sales, but Mario Kart is a game people will buy a Switch for outside of that where Wii Sports was packed in with most Wii consoles for a large part of it's lifetime, so the success of the game was more heavily amplified.

I think you have a lot of great points. I believe they will start the year off with some Switch 1 game releases. I do believe Nintendo has all the time in the world to slowly release some great games. I think the y will slowly lead us on with some great titles, making the system the greatest and longest selling, successful system. I’m really looking forward bro Metroid 4! Plus a whole bunch of first person shooters, like Call Of Duty, or more Elite Sniper games. But what I’m wondering about the most, is when the next mainline Zelda game comes out, sparking Switch 2 long life cycle, making Breath Of The Wild, look like Child’s play. Releasing it later in the games life will alow Nintendo to make a memorable Zelda game, while not driving the fans crazy from having to wait years!

If Pokemon Z-A isn't out in the first half of 2025, it's going to be a November game. I can't see Gamefreak going two years in a row with no Pokemon game in November...Maybe on Pokemon Day we the reveal of a new Pokemon game in November, Gen 10...maybe? Or a new spin off game, like Pokemon Snap 3 or Mystery Dungeon and that's a November game?

Nah they're definitely putting MP4 for Switch 2, that new lore book confirms that the release window for MP4 is HEAVILY likely to be in autumn of 2025..

TOTK came out less than two years ago, rushing out another one doesn’t make sense. If anything, the smart approach to growing the platform would be giving more focus on 3rd party titles than Nintendo usually do in the first few months of a console launch.

Emulating what worked for the Switch isn't a guarantee that it will work again for the Switch 2...Nintendo did that with Wii to Wii U, didn't work well. See the thing is, time periods aren't the same. 2017 was a different landscape and 2020 with the pandemic really boosted Nintendo. That boost is not here. Though another pandemic is coming, we already know this cause the powers that be want another one as soon as they feel they can get away with it again, anyway, point is, 2025 is not 2017.

That isn’t the case, Wii U failed cause of bad marketing and the general public assumed the tablet was an attachment to your Wii.

Which was wanting word of mouth to carry the system to sales. And yes the times were different is a factor whether you want to accept that or not does not change that. The people who gamed in the Wii era is not the same as the Switch era.
