It has always been very weird to me that they left things like that out. It's like they all of a sudden forgot what it is that makes Nintendo's products iconic. I'm not sure how true this is, but I remember reading they simplified the design of the homescreen etc. due to using a graphically limited development software based on preventing security breaches. I guess nobody at Nintendo expected the Switch's biggest enemy to be a fucking paperclip.

Agreed. Leaks have been saying for a while that it's about on par with a PD4, which is far more believable. With Nvidia AI Tech and Nintendo's track record for great optimization, I'm sure we'll get some fantastic looking games, but it won't be on the level of Series X or PS5 lmao.

C means customise, you can customise the button to be Chat, Cursor Activation, or Cast, to cast the switch 2 to the TV with the switch 2 being a secondary screen, swap by pressing Home + B

I believe Nintendo Switch 2 is missing out a killer feature, A standard dock with similar features as the switch 1 and a a Pro dock with : 1_ An external egpu that allows for higher FPS and resolution when playing on 4K TVs. 2_ A docking station with multiple gaming cards slot (say 4 to 8), so if docked I can switch between multiple games without needing to physically removing them from the console.

My theory is that the "C" button stands for "Connect" and it allows you to connect your Switch 2 to your mobile phone so you can stream games onto it as long as you're not too far away from the console

@millabasset1710 nintendo literally revolutionised handheld gaming that was more affordable, ds showed everyone how touch screen for gaming slays even before smartphones were first launched (and it was the first device to have a voice recognition & many other festures way ahead of its time and i can say that as someone who once owned it), i dont know of any other company thats talked about immersive & interactive gaming before nintendo... and all this is just the tip of an iceberg in this argument.

I think the best thing for Nintendo to do I wish they would do it I wish they would create two separate Nintendo switch systems one that's handheld with the dock and then a second system that should just the dock that has cartridge slots for people who prefer to play in dock mode over handheld..... with full 4K resolution

I expect that the reason for the thicker dock might be that the dock will have additional processing compared to the Switch 1 dock that's essentially just a glorified HDMI+charging dongle. This new dock will enable better graphics in docked mode utilizing more capabilities for someones TV screen and entertainment system (the handheld obviously doesn't need that much power because of the small screen and less serious gaming nature in mobile mode). I could actually see Nintendo releasing a surprisingly powerful machine with more open nature responding to the growing competition (soon also from Xbox) and I assume the Switch 2 will support a wider range of more demanding games such as COD/Cyberpunk and potentially even GTA 6. Especially if a GTA 6 support would happen, this would be very big and a huge selling point since that way the Switch 2 would be the only device that you can locally play GTA 6 on the go. In terms of software/UI I could imagine that Nintendo intentionally designed the Switch 1 software this dull and boring so that they have a bigger difference with the Switch 2 and have more selling points. I hope that Nintendo will go back to what they were known for by giving us a fun system software with many features and gimmicks and finally giving us a browser and apps like KZbin, Netflix and co. I hope they bring back things like Street pass and give us new engaging ways of connecting and communicating with others. I'm sure that many miss this wholesome and more inviting/immersive world of Nintendo and are fed up with the lifeless and depressing Switch software.

The “c” could mean “custom”, where you can attach different Nintendo peripherals like a camera, stylus or anything else and that button would adjust to the peripheral.

If the Switch 2 can communicate wirelessly to the new dock, then you could just hit the "c" cast button and play DS games by having the main top screen casted to your TV while the switch is in your hands and has the bottom utility screen on it... Basically a Wii U situation for select DS, 3DS and Wii U games.

It’s not going to work if the app / emulator needs to download all the games, this is how it works with every platform emulator today. I don't think it will be delayed to November, doesn't make sense to a company to announce that this videogame is on it's last year and have a whole other year of waiting. Sales are a lot slower since they announced that there will be a new console. The comment on having retrocompatibility made us keep on buying games, but not consoles, and it still makes sense to give a switch on Christmas to a child who is turning 7 now... just makes more sense to give a ps5 now because the Switch will be outdated soon. I really think the console will be launched on March, at the same period as the actual Switch.

1:00 I HIGHLY doubt the Switch 2 will be on par with the PS5. Nintendo always heavily downclocks and limitsi it's hardware to ensure longer battery life. I think it'll be much more realistic to compare it to a ps4/ps4 pro, or even a steam deck for example. It's possible DLSS will mask this and make it seem better, but PS5 with it's AMD chips also have AI Upscaling and Frame Generation so, idk about that.
