Xbox One S question. I repaired a one S....it would not show anything through hdmi but fan powered on bout 5 seconds after its cord was plugged in then it would run about 15 seconds then power down. Button board was also broken.....1TB HDD was bad so formatted with script to a 500gb drive and did osu.zip ....I was then able to see over hdmi so set it up. Even before i fixed the drive the fan would come on 5 seconds after being plugged then back off after 15 secs. Also fan was full blast....so i ordered a button board and new fan.....installed both so now i have a working power button and light....changed fan...plugged in... I get same 5sec wait then fan blasts full speed for 15 sec then powers off. I hit power it boots and everything works but fan runs full blast like jet....also I put new paste on heatsink. So why does fan blast on high Soon after its plugged in then it shuts down?. I hit button to normally power ...up all works but fan blasts on high. Should i reset console or redo drive setup with osu1 because power board had power button and light broken off board during hdd osu1 install?

Quick question: why wouldn't you blow the hot air from the bottom of the board to solder the USB-C port in place? Wouldn't the port melt when you blow from the top? Obviously not, as you've shown, but I'm wondering why.

Good question :) personally for me it's more about feeling a bit more in control when soldering it back on. If I can see what's going on with the port I know what's happening and feel like I'm controlling the outcome 😄 With the port not melting, plastic melts at between 160⁰C-210⁰C so as long as you keep air moving around it prevents it from reaching that temperature 😀

I got same problem. There was short on top fourth cap. I removed that cap first then i tested again short remained. I was gonna put that cap back but i lost it(3 caps next to each others on top and 4. One next to 3 horizontal). searched online and found that it's 1uf or 2.2uf 6.3V 0402 cap. I found 2.2uf 6.3V 0201 cap(from iphone motherboard, unfortunately I don't have any nintendo board). Replaced it. Replaced m92T too. Plug into charger, i saw amp for a while and went back. I tried 2 m92T both of'em went bad. I'm assuming that value for cap it's not right? Can you help me please. 2 m92T went bad.... also replaced charging port there is no issue on it.

Hi Phil why doesn't charge a flat battery not with the power supply. You can charge a battery fast on this methods. I use it always on smartphones batteries. Just a tip. Keep going with the good content.

Hey mate, you make a good point but when the battery drops below 2.1 volts it goes into sleep mode and the chip on the battery itself turns itself off. The only way to wake the battery at that point is with BQ24193 and that needs a signal from M92T36 so even if you feed current directly into the battery and bypass the protection circuit it still wouldn't work unless you wake up the chip. It's really annoying sometimes lol

Haha thanks 😊 i must admit it is quite relaxing lol. I could take a look but one rule I have is I don't personally take responsibility for the lcd or front glass because they're fragile and can break during removal, but if you're OK with that you're welcome to drop me an email and I'll get back to you :)
