Thanks for this, very helpful! I did encounter an error when clicking launch on the bootloader: "No main boot entries found..." - I had to copy and replace the hekate_ipl.ini file from the old bootloader folder to my new one. After finally being able to boot up the system kept crashing with error : "error code 2123-0011", updating the blankprod line for sys from 1 to 0 in the exosphere.ini file resolved that

@@SwitchBrew Idk. Tinfoil wasnt launching for me. So I copied over the system 18 sig patches from that SigmaPatches website. I was upgrading from atmosphere 16. Merged the new sig patches to the proper folders on the sd and it worked. I only update my switch like once every 2 or 3 years. When its a requirement to play a new game, So, I always forget what the process is do this stuff. Don't really keep up with the news lol.

Thank you for the video. The system works great and I can add new games. I am having a similar issue to some people where some of my older games show as corrupt, so they wont boot. I have been researching a bit and some people are saying we need both sigpatches AND syspatches to correct this. Not sure how to do it (or if its correct) . I read through all the comments and I am not finding a clear fix. Any ideas please?

Question before I attempt this tutorial: when you're in your switch are you in "CFW emuMMC" environment, or are you in the "CFW sysMMC" section? I ask because my "sysMMC" always crashes, so I'm hoping this update allows me to only upgrade FW in the stable emuMMC area.

@@hartman.4744 If it is not included, you can get it from the Homebrew Store quickly and easily I already had it installed so I cannot confirm sorry His pack does come with all the 18.1.0 update files ready though

Switchbrew does have another video not long ago explaining why emuMMC is the best way and arguably the only way you should be modding Always keep your sysMMC (Stock) untouched Since if you do get banned, it is not your user / profile that gets banned... it is the entire Switch itself. So you would have to get a new console to play online again should you want too

Thank you. I was able to do the update it seems. But for some reason like half my games became corrupted during the process (including tinfoil). Any idea why this might be the case? Im on an unpatched v1 switch. About to go through sig patches and such but i assume you have the latest ones already in your download. Its not even all the games, just like half decided to crap out on me...

I've Followed the instructions and got my switch to update but now none of my software/games work. It tells me Unable to start software. Any idea what to do to fix this? Update: I figured it out, I'm glad I backed up my whole sd. I just added back my old untouched switch folder and it seemed to fix it all. Idk if that was the solution but it fixed my problem.
