Also, if you're lucky, a special Pro Controller might release together with a game, like the red Classic Controller came with Xenoblade back on the Wii. Never before did an optional controller become standard, especially since JoyCon + Grip already is the standard classical way to play.

Natanael Rodriguez the issue that I had was the many and I stress many 'reviewers' reviewed released 'specs' without actual Nintendo hardware in hand. It was mostly heresay and conjecture. The fact that this reviewer a) had the hardware in hand and b) spoke plainly about pros and cons makes his review the Best Review for Switch out there. Learn to speak intelligently if you wish to critique another's opinion. Otherwise you are just a illiterate fanboy looking for attention.

It is funny when so many people talk about the price. Nvidia Shield base model cost $199. That is the closest to Switch itself from the hardware point of view. You have a more "advance" controller with the Switch. While not amazing but more storage at 32GB compared to 16GB on Shield. It comes with a full multi touch touch IPS screen while not comparable to other premium mobile devices out there but it does it job here and that is not available on the Shield. A dock provided, while there isn't much inside, but it is definitely not just a piece of plastic. Since it is required for TV connectivity. Obviously there are some small board inside that contain some simple chipset that works as a controller to interface with the Switch along with additional connectivity. Most important of all it plays Nintendo games and everything at just $100 more. Even a Shield tablet cost $199, but less powerful for sure and controller is sold separately. None of those play Nintendo games. But no one is complaining those from Nvidia. It don't make any sense. 3DS launch at $249 but does less than this. Wii U launch at $299 which also does less than this. With everything said, complaining that Switch is expensive is really beyond me.

I'm surprised with the Switch after owning it since launch. Three of my friends who were more skeptical than me enjoyed it. Until you play it in your hand does it hit you how awesome it is to take a console experience with you on the go. Very cool first time experience.

Trulz21 you don't need an sd card actually if you go with psychical media then the 26 gb you have will be for game saves and dlc. I know it's not much. But you don't have a spare sd card hanging around that you don't use. Also prices of sd in general are coming down. I know it's extra cost but it's not a thing you need right away.

If... and that's a big IF, at least 1/3 of them are good enough ( for what i like ), which i doubt there are actualy good 60+ exclusives or just exclusives ( which are not minigames ) in a year , but i would like to be wrong, i can still buy the switch in december, maybe get some pack in games and play them then. This is a shining example of how hardware, should be critically dissected. For the record, I wholeheartedly welcome lots of due criticism of Switch's quirky design decisions, but they should not be overtly harsh as seen in a couple of reviews. There's no doubt that sometimes Nintendo deserve such kick downs, it's the only way they seemingly learn, but with this console, this is definitely not that time. Everything about Switch screams about how brave Nintendo R&D were to bring such a device to market at this point in time. The fact is I am absolutely in love with mine now, and only after a single day with it, and this after having many reservations about how things weigh up overall. Now even stuff like the right stick are totally OK with me. What I find very shocking, is how poor some of the reviews have been, how they have focused on ridiculously nonsensical things, such the faint possibility of pushing other buttons while removing Joy Con's! It induces the utmost dismay in me, I feel like smacking my head against the wall in disgust of the sheer idiocy, that journalists, people paid to do this kind of thing for a living, think these obscenely minor aspects are worth even mentioning, let alone focusing on. If you are a person open to the concept of compromise, you will love Nintendo Switch. Love it!

Decent system for me, glad I preordered it but for anyone interested in getting it at launch for Zelda, Bomberman, and Indie games then you should get it If not, definitely wait till holiday season since it'll have a pretty solid library by then People need to stop comparing it to underpowered PC's and think of it as it's own thing being a console you can take on the go so seamlessly, just my opinion though.

I am kind of worried about battery life if I'm being honest. However, I never expected it to be a beefy console that would compete with PS4 Pro and Xbox Scorpio since it's a handheld hybrid. Good review. Though I disagree on the pricing conclusion. It's not expensive. It's a very fair asking price considering the hardware that you get. Doing a little digging you'll find that it's between the Wii U and Xbox One in terms of graphical performance, which is good enough to offer modern console quality gaming on the go. In this day and age where smartphones are going for $400 to $700+ (and being replaced every 1 to 2 years) I don't think $300 is too high, even if the available lineup of games isn't very impressive, but that will change as we move forward into the year.

Merry Blind 3DS could successfully distinguish itself from smartphone and tablets with it's excellent game library. Now Nintendo is going to support the Switch with their full blown console titles so the Switch will have games with production values never seen on a handheld before. This was truly never done before and even though Switch is not powerful enough to run current gen multiplatform AAA titles I think Nintendo is being very smart with this strategy.

Still going to end up picking this up. Don't really care about the performance issues that much being as I plan to use it as a handheld most the time anyhow and I already have a PC for all my serious gaming. Nintendo has always had some great exclusives and being able to play full fledged home console Nintendo games on the go is going to be pretty sweet. Can't wait to get down on some Sploon 2.

Great video once again! The sync issue, lack of LEDs, and UI resolution are kinda wacky, but overall, I'm pretty excited to get my hands on this thing. Won't be getting one day one, but I do like what I'm seeing so far. Traditional "AAA" support isn't there yet, but on the indie side, it looks terrific, and being able to take all those games on the go with real controls, parity, and without needing to stream via remote play (i.e., requiring good internet) is an exciting proposition.

As an early adopter for this, I can say that's probably the best time to get this. Also, the overwatch director recently stated that porting to the Switch would be difficult, but he likes the console enough that he will do it if there's enough demand.

1.How much games are you gonna buy digital? Won't get any trouble if you buy mostly physical. Memory would not be a problem. External storage units would part of the system patch in the future. 2. Its using a new custom nvdia chip and a custom api called ''NVN''. "based on the same architecture as the world's top-performing GeForce gaming graphics cards". I am using my Switch as a handheld only and we played 4 player Mario Kart inside a University cafeteria at peak hour (300 people sitting around) and had no connectivity issues in our 2h session. So those issues are either better with newer models or not as bad as thought.
