I still have my launch day GBA box! Got it from Software Etc. I was very happy with my GBC, but I was so looking forward to the 32 bit portable games that were on the way. Screenshots I saw on AOL absolutely blew my mind.

I Love Gameboy Advance. It was the perfect Handheld. He was able to play anything from GB to GBA. Good old Times.

Thanks for another great video, Bob! As a proud Nintendo collecting nerd, I have no shame in saying that the thought of batteries corroding in some of my still-sealed stuff occasionally keeps me up at night. Ha. Zelda Skyward Sword box w/ Wiimote, those cool Wiiu character WiiMotes... I enjoy having stuff like that sealed, but go back and forth about opening just to get the batteries out. Big life decisions!

Man, I remember the first ever gameboy I had was that one, the Glacier Color…until I traded it in to gamestop, But I atleast bought an indigo one after a little while, cause I kinda regretted my decision

I got a Glacier color GBA as a kid too, that was my first handheld console.

If you read the instructions it started off green with full battery then red meant low

One of the greatest handheld systems that Nintendo put out in my opinion.

Nintendo is usually not very powered in consoles but even though I play PlayStation and Xbox, Nintendo is my favorite game company

Hi, there! That's so kind of you to check in. Bit of a rough year with one of my dogs passing and some other things, but I am sticking to my promised schedule of One-Year Anniversary Unboxed videos. One drops today! I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I like the Game Boy Advance. I was a good handheld, and I would play Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance on it for like 1 or 2 hours an enjoy. It was better than the original Game Boy, Game Boy Play It Loud!, Game Boy Pocket, and Game Boy Pocket. I still have my GBA that I had since 2001. Looking forward to get another original Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Pocket, and Game Boy Advance SP, and create the Game Boy family line one day...

I believe I got a GBA during the release month, came with Castlevania: Circle of the Moon and I think I got Rayman around then, too. I remember we took my first one back since the screen was so dim (little did we know that they were ALL dim), and that Castlevania was really hard to play. I never did get an SP but man, why didn't they just release that first, haha. Also, kind of a miss on only having two face buttons. Oh well, the GBA library is pretty great so just quibbles at this point.

You say the GBA has upped the power from triple A's to double A's. Is that compared to the Gameboy Pocket? Because I remember Gameboys always taking double A's. Never had a Pocket though...
@yauy2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, one of the improvements of the Pocket was going down from 4 AA batteries to 2 AAA batteries. With the GBA, it went back to AA batteries. At least it was only two instead of four.

I hated how Nintendo used blister packs in the early 2000s. Bad for collecting.
