Thank you for watching! I hope fans of the Ogre series in particular found something interesting in it. A few things about this video: 1. I've wanted to do it for years! 2. I had to upload in lower quality than I wanted, since the original file was ~170GB and was taking over a day to upload. 3. I've been having bad headaches every day for about two weeks now, which delayed the making of this video. I had a particularly awful one while filming this, so I think I somehow stutter and slur even more than usual, so my apologies, I know it's quite annoying. It was "now or never," though, in order to drop this collection video in time for the release of Tactics Ogre Reborn. 4. The music might be a little loud for some setups, but it's so good that I couldn't NOT lower it too much. 5. I want to do similar videos for my Suikoden/Chrono/Valkyrie/etc. collections--what would you like to see next?

Ogre Battle 64 is a very special game to me. As an RPG-starved N64 college student I was so happy when this was released. I spent so many hours playing and replaying it. It really is one of the best RPGs ever. I hope if the Tactics Ogre remaster is successful they will remaster OB64 too.
@ImportGamingFTW2 жыл бұрын
It really is so good--fingers crossed for a remake/remaster, or at the very least a collection of the Ogre games...and most of all, a new entry in the series!

@destroyermaker I'm good with unicorn overlord in March 2024, though cards with art for $130 is too much. Hope ogre battle 64 or gba tactics ogre the knight of lodis goes to switch online expansion one day. 44:12 yay grandma Tactics ogre reborn had bad AI and level cap but there's a cool youtube channel Burak C has for obscure quality cutscenes. Do admit it inspired FFT a lot with Vyce (not skies of arcadia Vyse lol) being a bit similar to Delita, and of course easy exploits that were good material for a ton of my videos (good lord throw stone even allies with monk buffing fundaments, and tailwind every turn unlocked jobs quickly, and arcane strength even buffs mediator, which helps Agrias' low atk and high magic as a holy knight, and samurai).

Thank you so much for showing this stuff! Been such a huge fan of the series since MOTBQ. A criminally underrated series to be sure. Wish more merch was released in the west!

You're welcome, thank you for watching! Yeah, I always loved this series and while it was popular in the mid 90s in Japan, it seemed to be overlooked in the grand scheme of gaming. The PSP release 10 years ago gave it a nice boost in popularity, especially in the West since the other games were hard to come by, but I'm really hoping Reborn does well so we can get more Ogre in the near future.

Oh my god the music... I was listening to the Radiant Silvergun OST recently and I felt like such an idiot. As I was listening to those bells playing I thought "Wait... Those bells... Sound like the Final Fantasy Tactics bells? Infact, this entire sound font and style sounds just like... OH MY GOD! HES A FREAKING GENIUS" Hitoshi Sakimoto ♡ His Dragons Crown score... That village music... Dudes one of my heroes. Such an underrated composer. Oh my god Dragons Crown is 10 years old next year. Possible switch release?!?!
@ImportGamingFTW2 жыл бұрын
So many great game music composers out there, but Hitoshi Sakimoto is my favorite...well, it's always a toss up between him and Mitsuda. If Dragon's Crown came out on Switch...yeah, I'd buy it again.
@novelezra2 жыл бұрын
@@ImportGamingFTW I cannot tell you how many hours I pumped into Dragons Crown. Even though it could have used WAY more dungeons (but I understand this was essential a smaller project) I just adored everyone about the game so much. One of my favorite composers is Aki Hata. She is an absolute beast of a composer. From doing the absolutely brilliant and wonderfully avant garde Lightcrusader OST for Treasure, to working on the incredible Rocket Knight Adventures and then even doing the iconic OST for Azumanga Diaoh; hot damn. If I had the skills I'd make an entire video series breaking down her best works haha. Also love Kota Hoshino who did Evergrace. The game with possibly the most stressful shopping music ever made.

Great collection and thanks for sharing! Yes, PlayStation Ogre Battle is the fastest by far. I didn't know about the tarot cards that came out before PSP. What is the name of the magazine with the Tactics Ogre poster?? Kind of interesting that the manga seems follow the neutral path to end of Chapter 3. The strategy guide for Ogre Battle Gaiden on NGPC would be a nice pickup.
