One of the best JRPG of all times. Very unique and mesmerizing. It's hard but it's a fantastic experience. I truly recommend it, even if the remaster could have been better in some ways. Sadly a lot of the comments, at least on Twitter, everytime Atlus tweets about the game, are mostly bait posts or people begging for Persona. And I love Persona, but dude, just let Shin Megami Tensei shine FOR ONCE, this is a vital moment for the future of the series between Nocturne HD and the upcoming SMTV. For all the cTurne gaming newcomers, here's some tips -Keep the Pixie you get at the beginning -USE BUFFS AND DEBUFFS -This isn't Pokemon you can't keep the same team of demons for the entire game, remember to fuse constantly -Focus + Pierce + Freikugel = Good -Always be prepared and don't go into a boss blind, do research on a fight and build the right team -Mot isn't as unfair as everyone says he is, just use Zio spells and Dekaja -If you play the Dante version and he flips a coin, it'll always be heads -Complete the Kalpas before you enter the final dungeon for the chad TDE Now go out, punch some demons, and kill God

For me Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse remains the best I have ever played in my life. Even after 5 years since I played it, I still listen to it's soundtracks and I miss it a lot. Nintendo, if you are reading my comment, please do a remake on the Switch of Apocalypse. Besides being one of the best games I ever played it also has sentimental value to me. Tomorrow I am going to open my 3DS XL and start playing it again. 150 hours here we go again.

To be fair, you must have to have a very high IQ to understand Nocturne. The story and themes are extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of mythology and the puzzles most of the story itself will go over a typical players head. There's also the game Gnostic and nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into all the characterisation - the personal philosophy of noctune draws heavily from Mahayana Buddhism, mythologes, old literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of the game, to realize that they're not just challenging- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike nocturne truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in matador existencial catchphrase "its time to duel," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Kaneko's genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools... how I pity them. And yes by the way, I DO have a demi-fiend tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they played all english shin megami tensei games.

@@Kyle77878 I’m not a fan of creating conflict between the 2 series. Persona is part of my favorite games of all time list next to Legend of Zelda, and Final Fantasy. My holy trinity of gaming but SMT is very new to me but I see this community has this toxic trait of hating persona in the name of Shin Megami Tensei which doesn’t make sense. It’s like self sabotage.
