This game is a masterpiece. Backed them on Kickstarter a few years back, extremely impressed with the team behind it. From one game Dev to another, Lost Ember is an extremely nice experience and the way it does its story telling is unique and insightful to the player. Glad to see its here on the Switch as well!

it’s not only the wolf you can transform in it seems like you’re the fairy/ ember and you can transform into any animal. I’m guessing you as the fairy are trying to make it to the two towers in the beginnings but that’s just a guess.

I didn’t finish the game but basically you play as a wolf that used to be human and you are helping that wisp (also use to be human) and try to find out what happen when you were human. You explore different places to figure out what happens

This is a really small detail but i just love how at 0:47 - 0:53 the wolf's tail is rotating counter-clockwise when it runs (i'm not certain about other quadropeds but dogs at least actually do this to assist with balance) i just think it is so cool to see this little detail Slight edit for time and animal corrections but nonetheless i love these little things about animals so it's so cool seeing it in a game..they(their's tails) usually just float straight behind them after all (this may be different in some newer games but this is the first time I've seen one where it is this prominent)

I live in Germany and once applied for a scholarship in their studio, since it is in Hamburg. They didn't answer, but I watched the entirety of their documantary/devlog on KZbin. They seem like really wholesome people with a dream, that has now come true. They put a ton of effort into it, and I'm sure it will be a gorgeous game.

This didn't make a lot of sense to me;but I was intrigued. I bought the game today. I can tell you all that the story is about a wolf who is known as a Lost Ember. A being who was once human but upon death. The man was reincarnated as a black wolf. He was denied acceptance into the city of light. Thus forced to live on the planet as an animal. The wolf gains an ally sent from the city to help him find his way to atonement and into the city of light. The game is truly a refreshing change as you and your spirit guide seek out clues of your past. Somehow you must rediscover who you were and do .....something. Sorry guys I haven't finished the game so this all I can give you. The only draw back in this game would be the tiny writing for the prompts. My vision isn't good and I struggle reading. Still, this a beautiful game and I hope you will give it a try!

Part of me just wants this game because it lets you play as a wombat in certain parts of the game, assuming for when you would need to dig underground. Wombats are adorable, and it's nice to see this game use such underrated animals.

I bought it an hour before the trailer came out! This game is golden, it's not perfect (2-3 bugs here and there) but it's worth the price. I have no regrets! It almost makes me think of Zelda BotW :)

Waowww... It looks one with nature and makes us able to love and appreciate nature even more, through another perspective that makes us feel part of them. Become a wolf that gets lost or is dumped by the flock, then travels out there alone. But that doesn't really leave him alone, because he can transform into other animals and experience a different life from other living things. Become a part of them, because the wolf itself is basically a free spirit from nature.

@@amberh7171 I'd really love to see a remake too as the older are games are hard to find and bloody expensive (so I haven't been able to play them). I remember after Echoes released the devs said they'd love to do a remake of Roy's game (if given the opportunity) as that never officially came to the west. I think another reason a remake would be awesome is that it'd be a great way to introduce new fans (as Three Houses brought so many new fans to the franchise) to the older games and characters.

@@Tatokat Not true. The exact same game will look better on a PS4 than it will on a Switch. It's just not as powerful. Render distances will be shorter, particles will be reduced, texture resolutions will be condensed... Everything just looks worse.
