This game is still one of the most beautiful, colorful, and relaxing games I’ve ever played. The music is absolutely awesome, sometimes when I’m outside I listen to either the first world or the fourth one. Really hope another DKC will be announced in the future, but I am happy this got ported to the switch.

The Game is not THAT hard to see every Level without using Funky, specialy if you don't care about collecting every single puzzle or KONG letter. Theres also a difference between "Easy Mode" and "you can hardly fail"

I just dropped by to say that if you have Wii U but not this game, you should be ashamed of yourself. This game is phenomenal, music is gorgeus, graphics are over the top beautiful but most importantly: DKC: Tropical Freeze will challenge you. This game is pretty brutal. I still see nightmares about Bopopolis.

+Hudesko Haha! Bopopolis! When I conquered that stage, it became my go-to stage to get lives. The part with the giant wheels with enemies on them, plus preferrably being a Kong that can hover, you move from one enemy to another and watch the lives flow. :D Don't hate Bopopolis. Love Bopopolis. xD

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze (2014) is one of the most greatest video games of all time due to it's fun, inventive, mind-blowing, exciting, thrilling, and challenging gameplay, graphics, and levels. It was decent. To this day I still play it and I consider it a classic. It never gets old.😍😎💯👍

This game is wonderful, everything about it makes for a fun and unique experience. The level design is almost as gorgeous to look as it is to play through. Every level is so fun and has fun gimmicks. The boss battles are somewhat challenging but very good, and the music is so good. It doesnt matter if you buy this game on Wii U or Switch, but I highly recommend this game to anyone that hasnt played it.

It's games like this that make me thankful this whole "sidescrolling platformers are outdated" era really didn't last much longer than a decade or so. In fact, with games like Donkey Kong Country Returns, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, Rayman Origins, Rayman Legends, Wario Land the Shake Dimension, Mega Man 9 and 10, the New Super Mario Bros. games and many more, I would say the sidescrollers are where most of the platform genre's quality titles are found these days. Even on home consoles. Nintendo, UbiSoft, Capcom, everybody seems to be doing old-school platformers again ever since New SMB was such a succes on DS about halfway through the previous decade. And then there are many indie developers on places like Steam who create some fantastic stuff. And many of the old classics are available again thanks to Eshop, PSN and other services. Still love this genre just as much as I did 20 years ago.

Nintendo needs to keep the flow of games to keep the Wii U from being irrelevant. This is coming February, Mario Kart in Spring, Smash Bros SHOULD come in during Summer, and a new Metroid or Zelda for the Fall season. I hope there isn't a huge gap from Mario Kart to Smash, because that would kill all the hype right there. If I was management at Nintendo, I would do things so differently...

Actually, most people very much wanted more Donkey Kong (they stated it was something everyone wanted them to do). A lot of us had narrowed it down to either a DKCR sequel or a new Metroid (Star Fox was a possibility, but those two are more well known). Retro even admitted that it was something of a toss-up, as they wanted to do more with both. So yeah, they actually held true to what they said the project was (would have held true no matter what choice they made).

This game still isn't as good as any of the orignal 3 of the snes. They don't even have kremlins or king k. rool. It's too different. Also the graphics for DKC on the SNES at the time were mind blowing.. These are mediocre for its time.

I played and beat the one on the wii and didn't like it because of the motion controls for rolling, lack of kremlins, lack of king. k rool. Music without David Wise, etc. It didn't feel like ANY of the original 3 IMO. I beat all 3 on the snes and the gba multiple times and Donkey Kong Country was the first game I ever owned when it came out in 1994. Also why would anyone get this game for a reason other than nostalgia?! I've been waiting for a true sequel to DKC3 for SO long.. Just as I'm waiting for a true sequel to Banjo Tooie.

Well those things are good. I still wish they would add Kremlins and K. Rool though. They make THAT much of a difference to me. They were a huge part of the story and the main enemy. When I dreamed of a DKC4 in the future I thought the graphics would look more like how the graphics are on Rayman Origins. There's other little things too that take some appeal away. I really wish the original DKC games were as modded as super mario world. By the way I think NSMB and 3d world did a great job at capturing nostalgia yet bringing in new players. Same with the new Killer Instinct. Oh, and I don't think these new DK games are bad, they just don't meet my expectations or giving me classic DK feel that I thought they would. I'm still gonna buy this game, id be stupid not to.

***** I enjoyed NSMBU and then came along Super Mario 3D World and it just blows every past Mario game away. It is well streamlined the way you can navigate around the map, the creativity and fun of each stage, the controls, power-ups, graphics, just wide range of different styles of stages and it is great as both single player and with up to 4 players. The MiiVerse integration is also top notch. Everything about SM3DW is just excellent. So by that standard, to me this new DK game looks pretty lame. The graphics look dull, the gameplay and level designs looks more tedious than ingenious. It is clearly a different type of game and I have not seen anything in the DK trailers about MiiVerse integration or how you navigate between levels. I hoping that it is at least an 8/10 game.
