@@chileanyways9075 Sothis gives Byleth power over the flow of time. We’ve seen her freeze time and rewind it, but always from the perspective of Byleth. In this, we see her seemingly teleporting around, when in reality she’s moving when time is frozen. Dio style. They’ve essentially turned a standard gameplay feature into a terrifyingly powerful and cool game ability.

It's weird when you think about it but makes perfect sense. We saw Divine Pules turns time back and for the whole world, which means for everyone nothing changes beside Byleth who sometimes seems to predict the future. This is the catch however: this is Sothis's power, not Byleth's power. It stands to reason Sothis can turn time forward as well. In that case still nothing changes looking at it from the outside. It's just time moving faster. Can Sothis do it for individuals? According to the trailer, duh, of course she can. We literally see Byleth zipping around. But Sothis and Byleth are one so it makes sense specifically for Byleth to do it. This is pretty much how Tracer from Overwatch can "teleport". The real question is: can Sothis do it for literally anyone? Not only Byleth or everyone at once.

@@l.n.3372 i mean in the first warriors game, the npcs did end up as dlc. the only ones who werent playable were the evil mages (gharnef, validar and iago), the twins mother and darios. if we do get some sort of history mode to unlock characters (id assume trickster anna instead of awakening anna), then we prolly will get fleche and or randolph in some sort of caliber, history mode or dlc (unless they end up as enemies).

Most FE games come out roughly 2-3 years apart, but we've still heard no word about the next mainline one which is kind of a bummer. Is Pokken considered a Pokemon game by virtue of having Pikachu in it while the rest of the game is focused around the combat? Similarly, is this really an FE game because it has the characters from one of the games despite the lack of gameplay similarity between mainline FE games?

Judging from the demo and how characters that were prominent in Three Houses but never were actually playable before but became playable now (Monica and Rodrigue for example) - I think we will get a playable Jeralt - as long as he doesn't die, of course.

Well, to me it seemed like Shez was fighting against Jeralt in this specific trailer. And from the last trailer (I think that it was that one? Or was it the first? Anyway…) he was either badly wounded or worse; Sothis also spoke of some sort of revenge too. Perhaps because of all this, Byleth starts to have a personal vendetta at stake? Remember how vengeful they were and how their moniker as the Ashen Demon was an apt description when they literally hunted Kronya as she was running away in fright.

This trailer really sold me further for this game. As a man who loves my Bylad, I can't wait to hear him actually talk more in story. One thing I want to point out is one part about sending "them all" or "the world" to an early grave from sothis sounds kinda spliced, I'm holding out hope the Ashen Demon is just in your way but not fully malicious here. Speaking of Ashen my Ashen Wolves are looking amazing being not DLC!

This is all well and good that the entire 3 houses cast including the ashen wolves are available from the start. But honestly all i really care for is if Rhea/Seiros will be playable. She's my most wished for character to play as because to this day it still baffles me why she wasn't in the original game nor had more backstory revealed about her.

Holy moly this is great! Byleth actually having more dialogue is amazing. The ashen wolves are base game (a bit disappointed Constance and Hapi are not in their respective mounts, but still) and this trailer seems to imply the church will be revealed as playable next. Alright, time for theories *Why* Byleth is the antagonist, or at least an antagonistic figure in this game? I have 2 theories, the first one is that Sothis managed to get total control over Byleth, sealing it's consciousness somewhere and we, this new character, is now tasked to recover her somehow, as for why is the Three houses involved in this fight? This could be a Sothis that made it back to the start of any route with the information of Edelgard plans and the ritual to resurrect Nemesis, that's why we would have the church against us too, the other theory is that Lady Rhea's plan succeeded, the one that implied using Byleth to bring back her mother and we are seeing the results, this would imply that she was aware of Edelgard's betrayal somehow, launched an attack against her and by doing that, Dimitri decided to back Edelgard up, and the same goes for Claude, but since the church is way bigger than they expected and Byleth's overwhelming streng cleaning up fields, they were backed against a corner until us with the help of this new goddess stop the assassination of these three, like we did in the start of three houses, and then from that point on the history would develop, as for who is this new guy, I would dare say that, same to Byleth, is a vessel but for a full resurrection for Nemesis or this goddess, but we oppose this to happen and manage to have their help, at least if the goddess is the one inside the new character
