This game is a masterpiece. Backed them on Kickstarter a few years back, extremely impressed with the team behind it. From one game Dev to another, Lost Ember is an extremely nice experience and the way it does its story telling is unique and insightful to the player. Glad to see its here on the Switch as well!

it’s not only the wolf you can transform in it seems like you’re the fairy/ ember and you can transform into any animal. I’m guessing you as the fairy are trying to make it to the two towers in the beginnings but that’s just a guess.

I didn’t finish the game but basically you play as a wolf that used to be human and you are helping that wisp (also use to be human) and try to find out what happen when you were human. You explore different places to figure out what happens

This is a really small detail but i just love how at 0:47 - 0:53 the wolf's tail is rotating counter-clockwise when it runs (i'm not certain about other quadropeds but dogs at least actually do this to assist with balance) i just think it is so cool to see this little detail Slight edit for time and animal corrections but nonetheless i love these little things about animals so it's so cool seeing it in a game..they(their's tails) usually just float straight behind them after all (this may be different in some newer games but this is the first time I've seen one where it is this prominent)

I live in Germany and once applied for a scholarship in their studio, since it is in Hamburg. They didn't answer, but I watched the entirety of their documantary/devlog on KZbin. This didn't make a lot of sense to me;but I was intrigued. I bought the game today. I can tell you all that the story is about a wolf who is known as a Lost Ember. A being who was once human but upon death. The man was reincarnated as a black wolf. He was denied acceptance into the city of light. Thus forced to live on the planet as an animal. The wolf gains an ally sent from the city to help him find his way to atonement and into the city of light. The game is truly a refreshing change as you and your spirit guide seek out clues of your past. Somehow you must rediscover who you were and do .....something. Sorry guys I haven't finished the game so this all I can give you. The only draw back in this game would be the tiny writing for the prompts. My vision isn't good and I struggle reading. Still, this a beautiful game and I hope you will give it a try!

Waowww... It looks one with nature and makes us able to love and appreciate nature even more, through another perspective that makes us feel part of them. Become a wolf that gets lost or is dumped by the flock, then travels out there alone. But that doesn't really leave him alone, because he can transform into other animals and experience a different life from other living things. Become a part of them, because the wolf itself is basically a free spirit from nature.

Okay I see that so many people don't understand this game because they see it for the first time here. Fine. I'll explain the game if you are interested. (I won't tell any Spoiler) Lost Ember is basically a linear Storytelling game where you are a sould-wandering wolf while you have to Find out what you did in your previous live as a human. It's like in Breath of the wild where you can find your memories on several locations to understand the game more and more. The huge difference is just that you unlock your memories in a specific and linear order - And you don't earn them by seeing a cutscene, no. You get your memories in the Form of that red statues you can see in the Trailer. This Indie Game by Mooneye Studios tells you a - at least in my oppinion - great Story. The world is sadly not really a huge open-world area, but there are a lot of places like grassfields or a dessert where you can just wander around. If you are interested in some sort of side Quests, you can Look for collectibles - Old relicts from the past, a lot of hidden shrooms and so called legendaries, legendaries are basically hidden golden animals. Lost Ember is the first game created by Mooneye Studios, a small german team. I personally think that this Game is perfekt for anyone who loves storytelling or just a chilling game to spend some time with. Of course this game has some weaknesses, but for me that game was an emotional experience I never got in an other game before. Especially the Ending was extremely good! I Don't know if that game is something for you. If you search for a challenging open world platformer, you are wrong with this game. But if you need a chilling game with a great atmosphere, some time to spend with while searching for collectibles or you're just searching for a good Story I can highly recommend this Game. You won't be disappointed ;)

@@amberh7171 I'd really love to see a remake too as the older are games are hard to find and bloody expensive (so I haven't been able to play them). I remember after Echoes released the devs said they'd love to do a remake of Roy's game (if given the opportunity) as that never officially came to the west. I think another reason a remake would be awesome is that it'd be a great way to introduce new fans (as Three Houses brought so many new fans to the franchise) to the older games and characters.
