The sad thing is, they already properly 'evolved' the combat of the Mana series. It turned into this series nobody has ever heard of called 'Kingdom Hearts'.

​@@Szriko I personally wouldn't claim that it's a wild coincidence, but they are pretty different. KH has no charging attacks and is very limited in AOE attacks... that's like 90% of Mana's gameplay.

@@LightningRocks Most likely they're going to go with the official translations that are used in the SNES release in the Collection. So Lise is Riesz, Carlie is Charlotte, and some locations have different names.

Did three playthroughs to see all the endings (and play with most classes), beat the post game in all save slots, grinded for the best equipment from the seeds and got all the Steam achievements. The remake was everything I wanted and much more, and I was glad they learned from their mistakes with the Secret of Mana remake. Now I can't wait for Visions of Mana!

Same here. I remember reading about Secret of Mana 2 in a Nintendo Magazine in the mid 90's and then that was it as newer consoles hit the market (PSX and N64) and here we are. June 11th 2019 the game finally gets it's official western release. Worth the wait. Proud owner of Collection of Mana on Switch and can't wait for this to come next year! Square finally started to show more respect for the games that paved the way for it to become such a huge gaming company with so many recent remakes, remasters and re-releases!

If you compare this to the secret if mana remake you would realise that this remake is being remade from the ground up where as the secret of mana remake was just giving the FFIV remake treatment but with issues

I have so much nostalgia for this game. I remember hearing about there being a sequel to Secret of Mana but it was only on Japan. Then one day I heard there was an English patch so I searched long and hard for it. Finally found it and enjoyed hours of fun. I chose Kevin as my main character the first time.

Things I wouldn't mind having in the remake: More class change options, as well as reduced level grinding to access them. More character interactions Maybe more spells/abilities None of the issues SoM remake had. Secret boss battle against Randi, Primm, and Popoi would be cool, in my opinion.
