Sonic's story of what happened before he arrived in the mushroom kingdom is what people have always wanted since the story behind sonic was first revealed, a happy but also sad and memorable story were sonic changes as a person where seeing himself being carefree would make him feel like a fool for messing around all those years because even though he helped people he also allowed people like Eggman to continue their evil deeds simply because he found it fun. A Sonic anime based on this would be one of the best anime in history!

Its literally just the Android Saga from DBZ, One Robot (#13) taking parts from inferior models 14 & 15 to become a Super Powered Version of himself. Hell even the heroes getting wiped out 1 by 1 after killing their creator is the same as 17 & 18s destruction. Followed by the next stage, needing something for his final transformation, his perfect state (Cell), which was taken away from him in his timeline, or in this case Universe, so he travels to the other universe to take back what he deemed was his. Side Note: They also made a Dragonball (Chaos Emerald) Locator.

There's a lot of Mega Man similarities in this as well. The Death Egg crashing is very similar to the events of X5's plot. The room where Sonic and Shadow built the transport is actually the X4 stage select room as well. It's funny what all you can pick up on without being told about it first.

I could honestly imagine in a alternate universe, Sonic Forces was rated T or M and the game would have a seriously darker tone with onscreen deaths, harsher language, suicides and more. The climax is basically a final fight between Mecha Sonic vs. Sonic and Shadow as the rest of the main characters would've been killed in some way or another.
