It wasn't this way in Mario & Luigi paper jam bros and he already this animation, it's just that it rarely happened. In Bowser's Minions, it's even worse : they purposely made him fix his air when : -He is about to attack -When he finishes his walking animations. -When he gets hurt The worst part is that it impacts his gameplay in the mini game because this animation happens too frequently (even twice in a row sometimes, I'm not kidding) and is just wasting time.

The reason why Ludwig was easy, well he went all out and put everything he had in that attack. Meaning his attack is meant to KO Mario and Luigi with one blow. However, his plan backfires and gets defeated quickly due to Mario/Luigi's quick thinking and knock Ludwig's attack back at him.

something about how the Koopalings behaved in the original Superstar Saga always bugged me a little, so I LOVE that now they actually talk (even if only a little) and have lil' animations like Lemmy playing an air guitar and Larry fixing his mohawk when he gets hit..I know most of that is from Paper Jam, so I'm glad it carried over!

I have a theory We know that Koopalings aren't brainwashed here unlike in Superstar Saga GBA And we know that in side story, Cackletta disguised as Bowser commands Captain Goomba to beat Mario and Luigi This means... All the sniper snifits in castle, the puzzles, the mysterious appearances of Koopalings, it's Captain Goomba He has set traps through minions to beat Mario and Luigi and sent Koopalings (or maybe they attacked with their own free will which is more likely) For Fawful, I think he went there after his defeat against Captain Goomba And during final fight, Bros defeated Larry and are approaching to Throne Room (Fawful most likely went there to fight Bros after trapping Captains alongside Bowletta with Bowletta waiting at Throne Room) And final battles happened at same time
