It was genius of them to have the speed and tone of the music go with the speed of the ball. The faster you go, the more chaotic and frantic the music gets. Always made me want to go full speed at all times

Idk it seems creative at first, but ruins the theme after all since you won't ever hear the original theme in a constant speed

@@solidzack Well the theme was obviously made with that one purpose in mind. Without the changing tempo gimmick, it really wouldn't be anything special.

@@tetermc the issue to me is that it doesn't sound like music anymore. If the tempo had a limit to how much it can speed up/slow down (like 0.75 to 1.5 speed for example) I think it would've worked much better. Star ball 2 is am absolute banger at 1x speed but most people probably never even noticed how great that theme is, because they constantly swapped between staying still, slowly rolling and rushing the ball at full speed. That kinda ruins what would otherwise be a perfect theme.

Pro tip: run the game in an emulator, and map a special control scheme to a Switch Pro Controller where the "wii remote" is upright and the right stick controls the ball. Makes these levels much easier and I don't know why Nintendo didn't put that functionality in the Switch version.

Okay, either everyone exaggerates the difficulty of these levels a lot, or everyone just really sucks. I can beat all these levels easily no problem with an original Wii Remote (meaning no gyro) and even pull off trick stunts like riding along the thin railings without any trouble. I never feel like I can't control the ball. Am I crazy? Everyone talks about how "incredibly hard" and "impossible to control" these are, but I have zero issues and that's been the case since I was like 9.
