This is one of the most faithful remakes ever. Besides splash damage and triple moves. They should make a super Mario RPG 2 where you have to go and save Luigi. All the stars fall to seven different locations throughout time. That would give the chance to go through a lot of old Mario history. You eventually run into the kingdom of Vanda and find out Culex is the main boss.

The Geno Whirl trick on Exor wasn't a bug. It was intended, it's written directly into the code of the game.

No, what's written into the code is the protection the left eye provides ending when the eye is disabled. What they didn't account for was they also made it disable the code that protects bosses from Geno Whirl's 9,999 hit.

It's pronounced "Cue-lex," (like "cube") and "Peach's xxx" in Japan doesn't necessarily mean something dirty as basically it means the same as "Peach's ???" Also Punchinello was still Punchinello in the SNES original, he was only considered James Bomb by the localizer prerelease.

I thought it has meant to hide her "kokeshi". This is a wooden doll similae to the 3DS's Miis but it's also an euphemism for a vIbrator or something that. (or at least I remember seeing this item being found there somewhere, unless I'm making a mistake)

For the “angry” pose it actually represents Exor, the sword that crashed into bowsers keep. He also does this in the middle-late part of the game in…… uh idk 😅

I loved this game as a kid! I always wanted luigi as a 6th party member in it and I'm bummed they didn't do that in the switch remake. It's a missed chance to make this game even more of a classic!

there's a few more secrets, if you return to Star Hill after playing the post game content and read the wishes of the defeated enemies they'll be different. Loved this game 27 years ago and now, still have my game cartridge I bought from the video store :D

People think you couldn't get the hidden chest in the Mushroom Kingdom in the original if you missed it but that toad does also appear late in the original but it is a lot harder to get him up near the door. I did it when I was a kid playing the original.
