My Game & Watch Collection is: My first: Oil Panic Second: Donkey Kong Third: Donkey Kong Jr. Table/Top Fourth: Popeye Table/Top and my Favorite! Fifth: Donkey Kong Circus Table/Top Still own them and all are still functional with the exception of Oil Panic that sadly died last year. Thanks to the Nintendo 3DS Game & Watch Collection Vol 1, I have Oil Panic reborn again. Awesome video thanks for sharing!

I don't know what's more remarkable: the fact that Nintendo were able to sell so many variants of the same "catch and/or miss as many objects as you can before time runs out" game over the span of a decade, or the fact that many people spent so much time and effort lovingly recreating their striking visuals in crystal-clear HD so that future people can marvel at how simplistic and primitive their gameplay was.

Well, we didn't have many Game & Watches in the Middle East, mostly we had Tiger Handhelds that were clearly inferior. The G&W looks like it manages to take the minimalist hardware and make something cool out of it.

Glad to see someone caught that. It wasn't even a Table Top Game & Watch, but a Multi Screen. The smaller version of Donkey Kong Jr. was a Panorama Screen. (Same game though, unlike a few of the other Table Top versions, like Mario's Cement Factory, which had much less detailed graphics in the New Wide Screen version.)

'Climber' looks like the most fun adventure game out of all of those as it has the most 'game' in its game, and that Zelda game looks a little better than the Simon's Quest Tiger Electronic that was out in America at the time the Zelda game lets you move 3 or 4 spaces to either side so at least enemy objects don't suddenly appear next to your face with no reaction time like they did in Simon's Quest; you actually have some reaction time in the Zelda Game & Watch. Oh and the Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong JR. games also have the most amount of actual game in them though not sure if it equals out to as much as Climber had. The rest of those games are just... strange and lacking. Like those 'Mario Brothers' games? Just bizarre! I always wished they would have made a multiplayer Bomberman LCD or vacuum flourescent light game as I think that could have been the most fun possible with this limited but portable game technology. Sad thing is they DID make a Bomberman keychain lcd game but they removed the ability to collect power ups so you're just blowing up walls and monsters but there's no reward for exploration or blowing stuff up, so they completely killed the potential fun that was the core game mechanic and game loop of Bomberman. I wish *I* could find a way to learn how to make & program one of these style games and make a 4 player co-op bomberman one with monsters.

Mr. Game & Watch (Mr. ゲーム＆ウォッチ, Mr. Game & Watch) is a character in Super Smash Bros. Melee. He was designed as a composite representation of various generic characters featured in the Game & Watch series, created by Gunpei Yokoi in 1980. He is the last character to be unlocked in the game. Mr. Game & Watch is currently ranked 19th in Melee's tier list, at the bottom of the C- tier, which is his worst placement in the series. Mr. Game & Watch's positive attributes include extremely powerful KO moves that have a long duration as well as a slew of moderately effective special moves, two of which (Judgment and Oil Panic) can OHKO. However, Mr. Game & Watch's flaws are due to how he was translated to Melee; he has a bad approach due to his slow overall speed, and outside of his throws, his neutral game is rather predictable. His high hitstun and frailty also make him an easy target for combos. Mr. Game & Watch also has the dubious distinction of being the only character in the game who cannot L-cancel most of his aerial attacks, and is considered to have the worst shield in the game, as it fails to completely cover his entire body after even slight damage. All of this gives him very poor matchups against a majority of the cast, especially against higher-tiered characters.
