The new testing road is fine. It would be nice to see light pattern against the hill (or wall) as you have done with farm in previous videos. I really appreciate that you are doing these test.

The old route did a great job and served it's purpose but this new route seems to cover more driving situations, and still has wildlife. I like 👍

New headlights on cars needs to be regulated hard. I can hardly see anything when I get a new Audi or Volvo behind me with those intelligent lights.. they blind you like hell.

Both EL6 and tesla use Samsung's Pixcell LED module, that is why you find it quite not uniform. The next generation of ADB headlamp will be a combination of MicroLED module and traditional matrix LED module to fulfil demands of high precision ADB function and brightness(the MicroLED module is not bright enough for now, so it has to be companioned with another matrix model as a basic high beam)

New stretch is like what we have in Canada for roads through the forest and see how it lights up possible animal sightings!

7.23 adverse camber is the term you're looking for. Like this new road having trees and open sections give good impression of lights and their spread.

I have issues with my 2023 Model Y AWD Long range Fremont build (I am in Canada and now Model 3 and Y's are China built since May 2023) with the fog lights on, always get multiple flashes from oncoming on divided and regular 2 lane highways but not when they are off and auto high beam is functioning.

Those are pretty good lights. I wonder if it's legal with that pattern on the light/dark border of the dipped lights. As far as I know, it must be a straight line and the rise in a 30 or 45° angle on the right side like this ____/ And on this one it is more like this ---\___/----

On highway, left highbeam is not activated, it is controlled by the navigation, not allowing left highbeam on highways. When entering exiting ramp, left highbeam is activated again. It is a VW Golf 2018 with full LEDs.

Matrix is one of the few things I miss on the G9 vs the EL6. That being said, I was not impressed by the EL6 matrix when I tested them myself, being used to driving a Polestar 2 for years. Feel they are in a different class. I bet they will get better with updates though, so they activates earlier at least, but still.

Had the same experience with EL6. Auto high beam did not fire up, even when it was pitched black. But when there was oncoming car, it decided to fire it up. Got flashed at so many times. Totally useless.

Yeah. Nio will fix this with software update, hopefully soon!

Does it reduce the beam length and increase the beam width as your come up to and drive through a corner? It doesnt need to do highbeam if you are behind a car. You dont need highbeam coming into a corner.

Auto Highbeam on the VW, the speed has to be more than 60Kmh and is deactivated when speed is lower than 36Kmh.

anyway the auto highbeam seems much worse than Tesla's. And Tesla's is not that great either :)

Hm this headlights with Lidar Matrix are not realy useful. It looks like, they don't trust there system or something. I see sometimes matrix but thats not what Nio said. So for this, I don't need them
