I bought it in April. This car is really amazing. You can’t compare it with Tesla model 3. The quality is much better. I have 20” on Pirelli P Zero, it can run 500rm in eco and 400 in sport without problem. Battery swap stations are everywhere (I’m in south of China) It’s more like BMW 5th series (I compared with 530i and I thought to buy it, but BMW sounds cheap feels cheap and it’s too slow for this money.

Could it be that the merge issue is because many countries have a dotted line between the existing lane and the merging lane all the way? So the car in your country thinks the left lane is where it needs to merge into? Not sure, but I otherwise can't explain why it would make such a gross mistake.

Good luck upgrading or eventually replacing the battery on ANY other car except a NIO. Not to mention the flexibility to change your battery size on a whim depending on daily needs. Wanna reduce the cost of purchase of a NIO? Buy it without the battery and lease it whichever pack you want on a monthly basis and never worry about degradation. All while still being able to charge at home kr any station and a bonus NIO will come to you in a jam and give you a charge for free with their mobile service.

Quite a nice car, but the ability to swap doesn't really bring me any advantages - of course it depends a lot on personal driving profile and charging infrastructure. However, the lower charging capacity compared to the competition is more a disadvantage for me - C-Rate 1,3 isn't much, the price is too high.

The battery swapping thing, imo, is against what an ev sort of stands for. (Environment friendlier then IC Cars, use less energy to Drive Dame Distance, etc.) What i mean, more resources needed for each car, because there is not only one battery with each car, but many of them in each swapping Station. Furthermore, the batteries are, at the Moment, exklusive to a hand Full of cars from Nio. I hope that the Broad industry stays with charging instead of swapping.

Battery swap has many, many upsides that most people don't think about. Not just about replenishing the battery. Every NIO car will have the newest battery technology years down the road because they can always swap for a brand new battery within minutes. If you want the newest battery technology with any other manufacturer you have to buy a new car. That's just one of many advantages.

I’m willing to give up some efficiency for some more noise reduction and dampening on my m3lr. For a daily driver with a great sound system, the highway discomfort negated a lot of goodness in the car. It’s significantly noisier above 70mph, from tire noises, suspension (hearing every cracks and grooves), wind around the A pillars and back windows… Why only have the fronts windows double layered? Why not just framed all windows? I am even considering aftermarket foam panels in doors, sound deadening in wheel wells, and extra seals around doors. How much would they add? 50? 75lbs? Can’t wait till the luxury brands (looking at you Lexus) getting their techs up to Tesla level so I can get different daily. Oh, and would it killed them to add a button or two, like for unlocking the doors without preprogramming or fiddling with voice commands?! Musk is tooling around in his Plaid. He should live with the 3 and Y for a month each, picking up kids and dealing with older riders.
