NIO's Complete Package - ES6 Gen2 Review

Great video, I took delivery of my new ES6 just 8 days ago, only real frustration is the lack of cabin storage (lack of pockets on the back of the rear seats and lack of a glove box - missed opportunities by Nio as plenty of space for both). I initially ran in comfort mode but around Beijing it did tend to feel floaty on certain surfaces (to the extent my wife would feel travel sick) now running a custom setting with suspension set to normal and regeneration set to low, it feels much better like this. I did not try sport or sport+ modes yet, plenty fast enough around town with slower acceleration. The car is so smooth and quiet, really nice vehicle.

At the same time, the market and consumers’ habits will remain disconnected in the short term regarding this generational company and its innovative customer-first approach. However, there is no denying an idea whose moment has arrived. Beautiful. Love the flush fitting side windows with the pillars. And it is such a great design that most reviewers would not pay attention to but I notice most Chinese reviewers pay attention to this. Great attention there. Good review too. NIO is amazing. I am so looking forward to see all of its models here in my country and own one or two of them. 😊 Excited to see the soon-to-be-launched ET5 wagon too! ❤

Any information on the noise insulation in the new ES6/EL6? I have tested the EL7, which is a very quiet ride, but the car is slightly to big for us. What can be expected from the EL6 in this regard?

My subjective opinion 8 days after taking delivery is noise levels are very low, so far only driven up to 100km/hr but so far very impressive.

Hi and thank you for your amazing work with the reviews! You obviously know everything worth knowing about the NIO cars. I live in Sweden and have just ordered an ES6 (EL6). I wonder about the new seats in the EL6. A bit difficult to explain but in some videos the ES6 seats have like 3 longitudinal seams/stitchings, while in some other videos the seats only have a transverse seam/stitching. I wonder why they are different. Is it because of nappa leather or vegan leather or is there another explanation.

It's the vegan/nappa leather styling difference. It should not make any difference on comfort.

Great Review! However, again dinky interior display screen and smaller trunk compared to the competition (Li Auto). I think there will be some comments from potential customers.

I drive a Mercedes C class and Range Rover Velar. I driven ET7 and ET5 2 months ago and the quality of Nio surpasses that of both MErcedes and Range.

What are your thoughts on NIO offering a RAFFLE or LOTTERY to sell cars. IF NIO had offered a RAFFLE or LOTTERY at the Shanghai Auto Show they could have moved about 400 cars. One Million People that were previously locked down for 3 years attended that show. Imagine if NIO sold Lottery tickets for a 20 Yuan($2.84) note....a STICKER with the persons Name, Date and Phone number was attached to each Note and placed in a Barrel until it reached $50,000( the cost of a ET5). Then when it reached $50,000 there would be an Immediate drawing to choose a WINNER and ANNOUNCE their name RIGHT THEN. Imagine the excitement around the NIO house that was ELEVATED. Everyone would be wondering what was going on over there. All the CHEERING and SHOUTING would get peoples attention and DESIRE to PARTICIPATE..People would be buying at least $20 of LOTTERY TICKETS for a Chance to win one of the 400 cars OFFERED. NOW take this model and use it at NIO houses world wide...Every person that buys a NIO drink is automatically entered into a Lottery ..NIO houses would be FULL everyday of people wanting to buy a drink. ..EVERYDAY around the GLOBE 10 People have a chance to win a NIO...Thoughts?
