Nio EL7 interior review

Traded in my 4,5yr old Jag I Pace for EL7. It is a great car. Was also considering XPeng G9, for the great tech and charging speed. However on space for my wife who has to stretch her legs a lot due to a disability the EL7 won hands down. The passenger seat is just Business Class when extended with the footrest and the lower leg rest. I have not seen this in any other car. In Xpeng G9 the chair just could not go back far enough and the glove compartment blocked her toes. So for us, this was the best choice. I drove it to Spain and back for 2 weeks and charging at 130kW really works acceptable because it holds this level to around half the battery and holds above 100kW for another while. Pretty good really. Comfort is good. Range is strongly speed dependent but even with 130kmph stretches in France it will take you 300-310 km between 10-90% charges with full speed and spring weather condition.

I really like all the configurable stuff on the screen. It seems to me the Chinese are giving people what they want. Pet mode. Camping mode. Good on them and good for us consumers. Great stuff🙏👊

I think Nio has done a great job. Building a good looking and practical car with what it seems a good quality. The interface is great, and remember "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery"

The washer fluid filler placement seems like a good idea but not very ideally implemented

I dunno, to me it's asking for trouble with anyone able to put something in there. Any sort of hole for liquids should be locked away so only the owner/driver can access it.

im not sure how it is on the el7 but in my es8 the way to toggle between adaptive cruise control and auto steer is to press or hold left button on the steering wheel for a few seconds.

I just looked up the price of a Nio EL7 in Austria. Starting at €73k without adding options or even selecting battery option. Not sure what you mean with "affordable"...

I live in Poland and the average person would have to work for 16 years to make money for this car, but if you take into account that you have to eat and pay bills then you have to put money away for around 320 years..... but if you take into account that a lot of the time you have to spend all your savings for random extortion because the gov oligarchy need money for new yachts + the hyperinflation for food and energy driven by the gov oligarchy that has a monopoly for everything energy related then you would have to put money away for like 13 000 years a affordable car is something like my mazda mx-3 that i bought for 300$ and uses 6 liters of LPG per 100km

And I just checked the price of a Louis Vuitton handbag in China. Taking the SPEEDY BANDOULIÈRE 25 as an example, this lovely lady's "sac à main" is priced at CNY 16,900, or EUR 2,223, making it 30% more expensive than the same thing in a Parisien department store. Back to the price of the Nio in Europe. A rough calculation shows that the EL7 costs 31% more in Europe than in China. Voilà, maybe we can call it even.

To Norwegians yes, it's affordable. Not only because an average norwegian earns more, but also they import EVs tax free. Björn's advice is most relevant to them I guess if not valid for other markets.

I like the interior and features… reminds me of Tesla. But that autosteer and wobbling steering wheel and accelerate/deceleration will drive me insane. Hope they can fix that for European cars as only requires software update.
