Nioh 2: Fist vs Claws??!! Which Do You Prefer??

I like the fist more but I use the claw for the Archer’s Impact Hayabusa skill

Claws cuz innate corruption (without bad fixed stat) + Ren boss skill but I prefer the look of being bare-handed with a Benkei/Hanzo/Dragon Ninja transformed appearance so I try to refashion the claws to fists when possible but it's too hard to keep up with getting better claws dropping constantly so I gave up... REALLY wish refashion just applied to a sort of cosmetic appearance slot over any weapon type and armor :(

Great showcase i guess no explanation is needed if someone has played the game long enough(DotN), good stuff. I can see why most people will rock with fists tbh it's just personal preference and it depends on your play style however imo claws are more superior, lme what i mean. Claws do 25% more raw dmg & 25% less ki damage the same applies for fist but in reverse now lets apply this fact for a try hard player like myself. Let's take a penance stone+7 and above into the last stages of the depths(26-30) you will see the despair in terms of Ki dmg it rolls off significantly . i tested this with Yume giving me a total melee ki dmg @90%(claws bc it had 17% on it &fist were 83%) with both types of weapons keep in mind the characteristics of both weapons. I was able to kill the bosses faster with the claws mainly because i don't use the maeda clan & i play coop 90% of the time(once enemy winded we go for burst/ sustain dps dmg with weapons like DS, Kusa, Splistaff and Fists ) and also having to switch clans back & forth is not my cup of tea(fear of losing my clan bonus from clan battle) if you are someone who's into grapple/final blow dmg + increased attk winded enemy + maeda clan + finishing flair i believe with all of those the fists become faster at killing with conditions i mentioned earlier other than claws reigns supreme just like Dragon Lord Ninja himself ps: if you tried to run penance stone +7 & higher then you will know that's the pinnacle of the hardest content in the game and that what im saying is logical.

Nothing like rocking up to every fight for straight fisticuffs against a god-like being and telling them to "come catch these hands". Honestly I've been throwing reckless charge with the elemental arcana on each stance. For ki damage I use defensive drop to trigger sunrise modded with masterful slice.
