Ranged weapons have a lower drop rate than melee weapons so you have to use everything you can to force a drop. Such as lucky drop equipped weapon on accessories, you can use a luck bringer talisman to increase drop chance as well, Sudama skull hat has divine drop rate so that can help, ethereal drop rate on scrolls, itokuri guardian spirit has item drop rate on it. You can also use a stone of penance to increase drop rates but also the difficulty, and you can even roll item and equipment drop rates on gear to help, there are also armor sets that have increased drop chance on them as effects

the Suwo Moyajin will dispell debuffs on purifying yoki pool, you can use the buffs from the kusarigama and then cleanse them all off with purifying a pool

You are still in what’s considered early game. Mid game starts around dream of the demon into dream of the wise

If you’re lvl 32 you should be in Dream of the samurai which is the very first difficulty. Idk if you’re on pc or ps5 but on ps5 you use square to switch between difficulties and it will show which one you are currently on

A lot of grinding and using the “lucky drop (accessory)” special effect on my equipped Yasakani to increase the chance of them dropping and also having ethereal drop rate on my scroll. Sometimes I’d even use a Sudama mask to increase the divine drop rate and use a penance stone to increase the rarity to ethereal

Played nioh 2 and all depths and underworld as it was releasing. Best game ever. Missed it so much that I recently restarted a new char to re-experience it. I think for depths it was every week the boss changes, I seem to recall I had the same boss the next day. Damn you Yomi! I hate youuuuuu.

My stats contribute because both scaling stats on weapon are maxed, next I have attack bonus on them which scales with my main stats as well. Next I have “attack” rolled on all my armor pieces. And then inside my weapon skill tree I have the +1 attack power pretty decently high…all this contributes to my attack power on my weapons

A bit late but I've seen people use the owl soul core to place the yokai puddles on the floor so you can purify them any time for Izanagi.

This is the coat you get from fighting the Kiheitai it’s a random drop but once it does you can change your appearance and equip it

If u want to completely lock down humans I would recommend putting masterful on demon fang. It will wreck shit on urgency true, but you can pull a human into a grapple from like 1/3 remaining ki. This can be easily looped especially with lifeseal. Ninigis for finishing flair and ki dmg/recovery. i prefer magatsuhi 6 pc for remaining slots for anima, sentience and anima charge. Lastly, for elemental stacking and single combo confusion I recommend putting one element on high stance wild lions and another on high stance demon dance (heaven). If u hit the wild lions, then r1 then spam square that will allow you to immediately stack the 2nd element in the same combo. If the 2nd element hasn't fully applied just press r1 and start tapping square again til it is

Hey I don't know if you're still playing this game, I took a break to catch up on some souls likes this past year and just recently picked neo to back up to finish underworld. Kusa/ tonfa/dual sword are my mains and even though I have almost 400 hours I am learning new things about this game constantly. There are many bad guides out there but none of them are yours

Great explanations as usually. Good to see Nioh 2 content even in these days, this game is timeless and although i am 1000h+ in, still haven't got bored. I've recently made tanky lightning spear build just to test max weapon damage on spear with warrior of east set + 7p Tsukoyomi grace and one of my scaling stats is Strength at 200 so gonna re-roll ult strength for sure. Didn't realise it has got those benefits coz never really pay attention it as all my other builds don't reflect strength as much.

i'd say ultimate strength is mainly good for yokai shift builds because the 10% ki damage applies cores. where as most ki-damage is "Melee ki damage" which does not apply to soulcores. building ultimate strength for its ki damage is a waste because there are other sources of ki damage which are easier to get with bigger values. between 6 piece Magatsuhi's Grace & 7 pc Sarutahiko's Grace, you can get 150% Anima charge between Blood of Yokai, Activated Anima weapon and ani yokai talisman. Normally downside of corruption builds are that they do less total ki damage and you can't ki-pulse with corruption when blocking but then you put ultimate strength in your build and now all your negatives don't exist. you get all bonuses of playing corruption build with same upsides as blessed weapon.

I feel like most common ultimate stats are Ultimate constitution and Ultimate magic simply because most builds have 200 magic/200 constitution. Ultimate dext and Ultimate skill are only used in ninjasu feather builds. Courage is nice but realistically, barrier talisman is good enough that i don't think you need it. Fist Beyond infinity is one exception where courage is good because Beyond infinity costs around 90% of Stamina bar. It also has that guard+heavy attack that grants super Anima gain in high stance that costs ton of stamina to use. A side note, Ultimate strength is only 10% Ki-damage increase which is very small number but it bridges gap between corruption effect and purity where purity is 50% ki-damage debuff and corruption 30%. with ultimate strength, corruption becomes 40%. It is still huge stat dump but it is good ultimate effect despite number suggesting a minor effect.

Yes +9 is a genuine hell, personally I played a lot with it on dream of the strong, but even then ennemies wouldn't die, too much hp and 50% of the time you get oneshotted no matter what the attack is, it was horrible lol, Bosses are way stronger too

I played on Dawn settings and when I finished I was going back to do missions I had not completed before moving on to Dusk setting. At some time I made mistake and hit Midnight and it permanently put me on Midnight setting. At first I was upset because I was level 58 and getting my butt kicked by everyone. Then I decided to make it into a challenge. I'm now at level 82. From my experience you have to be careful when pushing buttons without reading the request asked by the game or your going to have a bad time.

Great video as usually. Just to clarify regarding Yasakani. It's actually doesn't get best (and enough) star effects compare to other accessories. Main advantage is that it has got build-in set requirement stat, but when it comes to star effects it usually gives 1 max 2 star effects, very rarely 3, after 1000 hours + havent got Yasakani with 3 star effects...and i do farm a lot lol. I still do use it on some of my builds, but most of the time better to choose 1 really strong accessories with 3 perfect star effects and have 2nd one with set requirement star effect + 2 solid star effects. Also re scrolls of damned and its paths, their quality really varies and some of them are not very beneficial. Of course it depends on play style, but generally path of demon and path of ravenous can be really beneficial for any play style.

I use purity most of the time, but with corrupted weapons you can soul match to enemy soul cores. So you can increase you weapons level and/or add special effects from the soul cores.

Late comment, but you can fuse those to non corrupted weapons after the fact, so you can have purity AND soul core matches
