Beat him legit with a Katana by dodging his attacks after dying about 20 times. Nioh is the only game that makes you feel like a god after beating a boss.

Elden Ring is The King of kings and Lord of lords of Souls Game’s and You Feel Much More Like a God of gods beating some of the bosses in that ! I do agree though Nioh 2 is also Boss

This worked really well and it does help you to get a nice boost early in the game with some items, more amrita and a skill point. Also access into the village.

If you stand on the ledge to the left where the ladder is after having gone past the second shrine in this level you can safely hatchet him from there without getting hit since its high enough that the boulder flinging attack doesn't hit you

Thank you sooooo much! BTW it's even easier when you stand on the small precipice looking down at him. He only flung a couple of stones at me once and most of the time didn't do anything

I had a few goes at this guy, but I keep dying. I'm only level 5 though. I was trying to bust his Ki with Tonfa and then switch to Axe to kill him. I know I can do it, just need some more practice, as when I start fighting this dude, I forget to ki pulse and stuff, it all goes out the window.

Dont really remember m8, u cant really cheese much in this game, not lile the 1st. Despite all the 'apparent OP builds' out there, everything requires work, nothing makes you OP in the sense that you can beat everything easliy without much skill. This game will require your focus m8 amd need to take time building urself with the loot. I cheesed what I could in my guides, but outside of the first few areas, u just need to practice and practice im afraid. The 1st game you cheese everything from the start with little skill, u camt do that here though ;(. I actually find this harder than the souls game, but then im not big on grinding loot!

I just started Nioh 1 and I am at the spidernest castle. I really want to skip the rest and play Nioh 2.... should I stay or skip ahead?

Nioh 2 is harder in my opinion m8, may be best to stick with Nioh 1 to learn the ropes, its more generous! Both games are easier late game when you have spend 10s of hours speccing builds of course. The journey there is the difficult part, and I deem Nioh 1 easier because you can cheese the earlier parts with Living Weapon builds, there is no way to cheese early in Nioh 2
