around the bosses at the 40:00 mark (Like Ryomen and the wheel legged lady) your yokai grapples goes for like 6k damage or more, and you do it twice, while mine goes for 1000 - 2000. Also my Shift ends in seconds while yours even replenish a little at some points during your (amazing) run, to the point where you beat the boss so much that you can do said second grab. What am I doing so wrong? My yokai shift is more of a panic button not to die than this boss humiliation shown here. I'm new to Nioh and I can't seem to find what exactly I'm missing here. TL;DR: Why your shifts last so long and your grapples are so devastating? Mine are the exact opposite of all this

Damage on grapple: maeda clan + poison build up when using yatsu no kami because of shirohami (i do extra damage on poisoned enemies when i have yatsu no kami too) Yokai shift duration: yokai abilities release amrita, grappling replenishes meter, charge attacks absorb amrita

​@@sandress111they require more investment, axe starts out being the heaviest hitter and when utilized properly for a low lvl run it probably scales the highest off of the limited levels you'll be grabbing.

In 8.5 minutes, you went from the start of the game to beat the boss I've been stuck on for several hours. I don't understand how you beat it so easily with no armour and you haven't even levelled up. Do enemies level with you?

@@ekoms2521wait, how is this harder than souls ? if enemies want to use some power up, there's a hint (the red light), you can transform into demon (therefore, some sort of health barrier), you got extra slots and items that can refill any you want (health or demon's), so how was it harder ??

Simple, they do much more damage, the enemies are faster, in dark souls you can make strong builds as simple as taking a mandoble, upgrade it to the maximum and ready, in one hit you almost kill everything, in dark souls 1 you have the zweihander, pyromancy and magic, in dark souls 2 the rapier, in dark souls 3 the greatsword upgraded to +10 refined and the double swords of the mercenary +10 in sharp mode. Everything becomes as banal as pressing the attack button and trying not to get hit. Here you have to do combos with all the weapons and unless you are a robot who learns everything easily you don't have it so easy, it is obvious that for most players nioh is more difficult, especially the first one. To the point of being unfair. Don't misunderstand me just in case.

Honsetly heavy armor is so useless in this game, you're literally nerfing yourself for a maybe 20% damage reduction

Maeda clan passive from the hidden teapot (enemy defenses get 55% reduced after any grapple) and the snake yokai ability has a passive where u do more damage if an enemy is poisoned, and if you wanna be really cheeky, you can also apply the saturated status using a water talisman, ninjutsu feather, watershot, or yokai ability. Saturated enemies have their defenses reduced even more. So poison enemy, grapple, wet em up, then enjoy free %70-ish extra damage for the rest of the fight, assuming u are fighting an enemy vulnerable to being poisoned and/or wet. Passive effect stacking is busted in the Nioh games. EDIT: the shiftling duration is from absorbing the floating amrita particles in yokai form. Just hold the heavy attack button while in yokai mode to absorb floating amrita into ur weapon, which will mot only power up the heavy attack, but add time to ur yokai mode. Grapples release a lot of amrita, so its good to use the above methods in the original comment to boost damage even more before u go yokai mode.
