I’ve never been so personally affected by the loss of someone I didn’t know, but I’m still coming to terms with this. It gets more and more bittersweet everyday with every new video that drops. The sweet part is all of the inspiration he gave so many people while he was here, and the foundation for building our communities and taking care of our children that he left us with. Great video as always. While he’s gone, he lit the fuse for a movement that isn’t going to stop with the loss of him in the physical. RIP King. We have to follow your lead.

Great tribute! I never took the time to learn about Nipsey when he was alive and that's probably a good thing because I know his passing would hurt me more deeply than it already does. This young brother is the epitome of what I hope other artists aspire to. He left us a template of what authentic success and love for our people looks like. If you are from South L.A., you know that Neighborhood Nip was a local legend even before he dropped Victory Lap. If you're from L.A. then you either ran into Nipsey, seen him selling his CD back in the day, or know someone who personally new him...Never heard any bad things about him...it was all positive. His death hit L.A. hard and all the people who came out to celebrate his life knew what he meant to us...that was not fake love. The marathon will continue because his message as an artist, entrepreneur, and community activist will continue to motivate the masses. South L.A. will never be the same. Rest in Power Nipsey.

Nipsey was the artist that I kept on my list so I can listen to their work for this summer because I didn't get a full chance to listen to his debut album let alone his mixtapes. The only thing I knew about Nipsey was that he opened a supply store right beside his flagship merch store so people can get basic supplies that's when I believe he bought out the lot at that time. He was an artist that I looked up to and respected his work and motivation but never got a chance to admire and fully digest his work over negligence and actually give his work chance. It pains me to speak about his death because learning more about the man he was after his death, made me feel disgusted and enraged that he had so much going for him, he had more gas in his tank and it was set aflame. I'm not no true fan of his and would not speak for others who were, but knowing and finally listening to his music and seeing the shit he's done. I know damn well I would've support his work, music, fame, and his overall message. I'm proud of myself that I didn't have a negative thought of him when he was on earth. And the marathon continues

Ty Samuels that’s ty. This was a tough one for me because nipsey was so important to me. There were a few things I did in this piece which I normally avoid. I didn’t go into the murder details at all. I let glasses and chuck provide all the gang related perspective. I let all the clips run much longer than in normally do.
