A review right in time for a kickstarter project?? Incredible!!

Hi Nique. Excellent review! Thorough, thoughtful, informative and enjoyable! I still use the "Spiker" effect with a pk ring. If I feel tired or just not up to my clearest self, I dont do it. Every time I perform it my anxiety (which resonates with the audience) is real! Thanks for all you do! Your friend in Magic and Mentalism, David

I really like the outlaw effects version of this type of routine. I find it works best with Dixie cups. The problem with Dixie cups is that people think you can see through them. I found some solid black espresso cups on Amazon and they work fantastically. Also, I give the participant a small piece of leather to move the scorpion. I don’t see how you can say. This is sharp and painful, and then ask them to move it with their bare hands!

I think the question of safety still arises - and that boils down unfortunately to what exactly are the instructions. If the instructions involve eyesight and marking for example, how clear? Unfortunately without knowing the secret I can't take the risk (especially as a guitarist...).

I also own Pain Game since it was published. So it does share similarities in methodology (maybe the same hideout..) 🤔

I'm so glad you are reviewing effects not necessarily in the mentalist wheel house. Your insights are really enlightening and I always get a couple chuckles out of them as well. Do you know the size of the bags? Are they are easily sourced or if TCC offers refills? Guess TCC didn't sell as many sets of sponge balls for $40 as they projected, guess it's cheaper to use them as packing material than packing material. Smilesotheylikeyou

According to TCC they measure 15cm X 9cm, and they will stock refills. Thanks for tuning in!

Would the spikes stand up to sharpening? Like if I wanted to lead into mini roulette with a balloon trick? Just curious. Great review Niq!

Sharpening? Hmmm… the spike is metal so I guess you could if you wanted to.

I have pain game and consider it 100% safe... so is the TCC version "less" safe or "equally" safe? Thanks for your feedbcak!
@niquetan Жыл бұрын
It’s equally safe, if you follow the procedure. If you perform Pain Game for stage, I’d stick to that. This one is too small for stage.
@rickcleveland310 Жыл бұрын
Question: How much do you need to pledge to get just the mini roulette?
@niquetan Жыл бұрын
The info is in the link; but I believe it’s about USD$70.

@@niquetan I have about 6 different spike effects with various methods. They all have their advantages and disadvantages. You just have to be careful
@Mychannel56980 Жыл бұрын
Instead of doing this trip like everybody else does you can do it backwards have six bags, five of which have spikes and one with no spike then the object is to find the one with no spike

@@niquetan Fast, as in you received it already b4 the Kickstarter. Hahaha.. Wonder if everyone would receive spare Sponge Balls. 😁
@niquetan Жыл бұрын
Yeah it was sent to me for that purpose I suppose. You never know, though I thought paper would work just as well as sponge balls haha!

It definitely gets attention and holds it, but I just don't like making my audience uncomfortable like that. edit: as your story shows, there is no 100% way to smash your hand down on a supposed spike, except to not do it.

Great job my friend! Just sucks that this project is a cheap ripoff of Pocket Punkture 😢
