My protocol, which I used to put my polyrheumatoid arthritis into remission, is as follows: 1. Ketogenic carnivorous diet. This means that I eat meat, animal fat and eggs. In a caloric ratio of 20% of calories from animal protein and 80% of calories from animal fat. I only eat once a day. 2. Sport: 50 minutes of sport three times a week, alternating between cardio training (cross trainer), strength training and HIT training. I do the training before eating, i.e. I haven't eaten for about 23 hours before training. 3. 50 minutes in the infrared sauna every day. If it's a training day, then immediately after training. Otherwise, before eating. 4. Cold exposure: I take an ice bath every day after the infrared sauna. Duration max. 8 minutes. There is a cold shower between the infrared sauna and the ice bath. 5. Every day, when I go for a walk in the forest with my dog, I eat about 1 gram of forest soil. With this protocol, I have been able to bring all my autoimmune diseases (rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, vitilligo, Hashimoto's disease) into complete remission. I have not taken any medication for more than 2 years (I used to take cortisone and Ebetrexate). All my inflammatory markers are within the normal range. My liver values have also returned to normal after 30 years of having elevated liver enzymes (probably due to fatty liver). My HDL level has doubled from 40 to 80, my triglycerides have dropped from 140 to 50. My blood pressure has dropped to the lower normal range. I have lost 25 kg in weight - mainly visceral fat in the abdomen. My blood sugar is ideal. This protocol takes up a lot of time. About 2 to 3 hours of my waking time every day. I have got my quality of life back. It's worth it to me.

Is there any concern for parasites with eating soil? What state are you in? Is this in category of “grounding”? It’s my understanding most of us deal with parasites and 80% diseases may stem from them. I just got a red/NIR sauna and I believe it can destroy them. Trying to find studies because I’m 50, ridden with diseases and autoimmune and syndromes… 6 of which cause chronic fatigue and praying to help mitochondria dysfunction. But I’m particularly concerned about severe osteoprotic state, fracture s, and chronic osteomyelitis in spine eating away at bone which is obviously microorganisms. I’m weaning meds, adding supp, and cut out all food sensitivity which limits my diet a lot but no processed food either. I’m inspired by your story and would gladly spend 2-3 hours a day to rid disease or put in remission. Thanks and God bless @JonasKuehneMD your wisdom also? Thanks

Thank you for such an excellent video and so well said! I was taking MB but got pins & needles feeling so i got worried. May not be related but I stopped. I loved the energy from MB and the clarity of thinking. I have not heard of PPQ, but I do take coQ10, Berberine D3 and use to use red light therapy. I am not taking K2 so I guess I need to find some. Most manufacturers add so many flow agents and things that are not good. I am looking for a good manufacturer of vitamins. I get tired of swallowing so many pills ! Sorry thus is too long!
@JonasKuehneMD3 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment and feedback. Many manufacturers now make D3 plus K2. Not official advice, but I am currently using 5000 IU D3 with 100 MCG K2. PQQ is available on Amazon. The company that I am using is called HTN.

Is there any downside to supercharging one’s mitochondria by increase the number and functioning of ATP? For example, could it led to excessive melatonin production or some other imbalance?
@JonasKuehneMD2 ай бұрын
As we age we have reduced numbers of mitochondria, and our existing mitochondria become less functional. Optimizing mitochondria and increasing numbers again will not go beyond the limit of what the cell allows. Over-production does not seem to be an issue.

The "virus" we can't talk about goes after my neurological system and mitochondria. I only get better after I start things like Ubiquinol (a form of CoQ10) and PQQ. I have struggled with chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia along with other things. Whoever unleashed this "virus" or whatever it is--it is something--needs to brought to justice.

Thank you for your comment. One of the best supplements for long Covid or neurologic issues related to it is methylene blue. There are some contraindications to taking it so I always recommend to check with your primary care doctor first. Most of my patients do well with 10 to 15 mg daily. Some contraindications include pregnancy, breast-feeding, SSRI’s.

No it’s PQQ. If you shop online at Vitacost or Pure Formulas and type in PQQ into their search system several brands will pop up. I buy the 20 mg Life Extension brand. It has helped me a lot.

Is there a way to check on your mitochondria health? Is there a blood test you can take?
@JonasKuehneMD3 ай бұрын
There are some blood tests to test for mitochondrial diseases including lactate, pyruvate, ck, ammonia, but to test for poorly functioning mitochondria outside of genetic or other disorders is more difficult. The blood markers that would be important are HGA1c to check for early diabetes, impaired glucose tolerance, and inflammatory markers.

nice confinement to the topic. Mitochondria are indeed the hinge for a lot of issues, inside and outside our bodies. After all its all about energy and time. I missed a bit some more precise nuances or references to the TCA cycle or the beta oxidation. Not full blown explanations of course, just references. Also to the role of the gut's microbiome. i know i know, i needs to be kept short... I am doing n=1 style investigations on a 63y old organism, hehehe, so what i would add to the routine is tracking of intake of micro nutrients, from time to me quite precise though, high dose of B1 + B12 and sufficient support for the NAD context. Finally, since i thnk that a lot of issues come from bad habits around what, when and how we take matter in (eat'n and drink'n), some time ago I started having acetic acid to the meals. It can be very detrimental, acutely and chronically, if the output of the stomach is not acidic enough. To the rest of the routine: I fully agree. ... Yet, i would not say that coQ10 or PQQ have important roles as anti-oxidants, just think about the statistics on the moleculaar level. Such i would finish adding that life lng supplementation with 700.2000mg of vit C is mandatory, for a whole lt of reasons.
@JonasKuehneMD3 ай бұрын
Thank you for your great response. Yes, parts could be more detailed, but as you mentioned, this would increase the total time of the video. I completely agree that the gut micro biome is immensely important. Lots of great points that can be implemented in further videos. Sounds like you have great knowledge of the topic and are implementing a lot of good strategies.

Sorry for the delay. Organic fruits and vegetables are very helpful. Egg yolks, liver, sardines are good sources for vitamin D. The most important thing you can do is get sufficient NIR by being outside even in the shade or would like clothing during the daytime. Green surfaces reflect NIR very well.
