He was also a musical genius that's often not even appreciated. Musicians who are learned in music theory have shown some of the brilliance of In Utero, and said that Kurt might have not even realized some of the things he did when he wrote songs. Some of my earliest memories of music are Nirvana and Pearl Jam. My mother loved both bands, especially Pearl Jam though. First girl I dated was obsessed with Kurt and had his journal. I really got a better appreciation for him when I watched Montage Of Heck. Excellent film, and I also highly recommend Soaked In Bleach.

From a sound quality standpoint, this is easily the best concert I’ve ever heard Kurt perform. Despite being sick at the time, his voice sounds better here than on some of the album tracks even. You can also tell that he either is clean or on downers for this show which I’m sure adds to the quality. Some people saying that he seems like he doesn’t want to be there...I don’t think that’s the case but who could ever really know. To me he just seems extra focused on getting through the show. Nirvana is still my favorite band of all time even after 27 years and it’s still a shame that Kurt didn’t stick around longer. I think his best music was just on the verge of being created. The direction that the band was going in with In Utero was ahead of it’s time dynamically. Bands like Thrice and Manchester Orchestra are two bands that I would use a comparison to that.

damn are you kiding me? Look at Grohl's output. That guy doesn't stop. AND Despite all the drama that was going on in the band and all the hate Kurt supposedly had for his bros... GOsh, even if that wasn't just a simple symptom of some other problems (Addction. Trying to make Ho Housewife) there's no way Kurt's ego would have let Grohl stray too far too long. Think about it. Kurt would def. rather have Grohl as his drummer than his business competitor. And, darnit, despite some of his songs being dorky AF you can't sidestep the obvious respect Dave has (still has) for Cobain's obvious artistic prowress. I can imagine him putting up with a lot more than he had too just to learn from this guy, I mean, he knew he got lucky. Lennon ? McCartney much? Kurt = Lennon, Grohl = Paul. They're like the same people. Kurt is like John Lennon, threatning to break up the band, talking mad shit and being praised for it, marrying a total wild card, drugs, assassinated - oh wait, no that last one is up for debate i guess. Grohl is just like McCartney, kinda corny but damn that guy has wok ethic. He does it all. And Paul and Grohl never toook thei bandleaders too seriously.... They could talk shit and treat them like children and they'd only warmly accept their buddy. Gee whiz... Those two, they could have out done the Beatles. IF only Kurt Cobain didn't " Commit Suicide" ....or whatever happened. Hey why can't someone gangstalk Courntey Love. I mean, if you're gonna just abuse innocent people it's the least you could do. Someone read her damn mind and tell us all what happened! IT makes NO sense! They only made 3 albums. They were just getting started! ANd look what happened to Rock and Roll...... after he "Commited WSuicide" Fred Durst? Thaat guy wouldn't have stood a chance with Cobain's loud mouth. He would have called him a buffoon and Fred Durst would have no choice but too obey. The entire landscape of Rock and Roll would have been different. Guys would have been allowed to have feelings, now ya gotta be Transgender. Geez Kurt. I really wish you didn't go away. Can't you hear the cries of the planet? Billy Corgan yeah, I can see him getting old. But Green Day is still popular. Nirvana would have been the Beatles. Damn it. Damn it Dn it

There isn't a Nirvana performance I haven't loved but Kurt and the whole band are really locked in here. Seems like Kurt had the mindset to go out and just solidly play the songs with little theatrics or messing around. His voice is flawless. Nirvana forever! 🤘

Amazing...a beautiful soul whose pain came out through his writing...He suffered from an intestinal disorder like IBS / Khrons disease, his whole life...He was misunderstood as a kid, as he self medicated through a lot of pain. He felt a kinship with the spirit of Frances Farmer, and his song about her brought new attention to her sad story. His music was multi layered ;some of it is inexplicable. He meant it to be that way. His sensitive, empathetic spirit just couldn't handle this world. It was his only downfall...Heard his daughter, Frances, is beautiful. ..Hope she knows that her dad's spirit is a cut above...The last thing he wrote here was: "Peace, love, empathy. .."
