I think this song would have fit perfectly with the overall vibe of the Unplugged concert, and would have been a better choice for the token "hit single" than "Come As You Are". But Kurt didn't want it, so it was not to be. At least this gives a great idea of what it would have sounded like.

I agree with everything you said and you know what’s strange is this song comes from a heart shaped box that Jennifer (Dave’s girlfriend) gave to Kurt from Courtney when Courtney first had a crush on Kurt. I think Kurt and CL were basically done by then

Damn the mastering is on fucking point, even Dave's voice is at 80% just like in the 1993 MTV Unplugged show. Just a hint of cello would have been the perfect reproduction of what HSB would have sounded like in the og MTV Unplugged.

I recently saw Foo Fighters live at Louder than Life in Louisville, KY... Pat Smear still has it when it comes to off-key backing vocals, like he did 30 years ago...wish I had a VIP pass so I could have met him personally, Dave is cool and all, but I always loved Pat live, he still does the same hopping dance he's always done while he plays guitar on stage...Pat Smear is an underrated legend. Edit: oh yeah, and I guess this sounds like how Nirvana would have done HSB unplugged...maybe.
