I love it. Their interviews are half sarcastic / dry humor / mocking and half serious. Or maybe more like 70/30. I just wish Kurt did talk more because he is so extremely intelligent when it comes to just pure music knowledge.

You know, there really is a difference with Kurt between 1991 and 1993! In the early nineties interviews, he seemed rather distant and careless. Then, he gets a wife, a baby is born, and, wow! he looked so refreshed!

I feel so sorry for Nirvana interviewers haha, Krist just takes the piss out of the questions and goes off topic about random shit. Kurt doesn't speak unless it's to complain about the question or point out sarcastically that it's dumb or if they're lucky he gives a short basic reply. Dave just...Dave's just happy and laughs at what the other two do and sometimes helps the interviewer out a little if the situation really is too awkward.

@TRKTKO Nah, over-dubs are just when you record everything seperately. Say you recorded the drums on their own, then recorded the guitar over the top of that, vocals etc. Just not live basically haha.

You can see that they were really good friends in their interviews. I bet the amount of interviews they had to do all the time really bothered Kurt. I think Krist and Dave didn't really mind it, but I don't think Kurt was ever comfortable with the attention. he was introverted. when Nirvana got really big, and he was getting all kinds of press and attention for it, I think it really bothered him. he seemed like he was happier playing in smaller clubs, before they became super famous. sad that he couldn't get help with his problems and it all ended the way it did

I don't think that they were giving the interviewer a hard time, I think that the interviewer was hassling them about insubstantial bullshit. And Kurt is just too polite to interrupt Krist when he's answering questions. Kurt looks genuinely happy in the first part of this interview and then the interviewer has to be a bummer and drone on about shit instead of taking their answers at face value. And Dave has said later on that the Nevermind cover was inspired by a tv documentary he and Kurt had seen about underwater baby birth. It's just nice imagery, there wasn't a secret motive. In the Michael Azerrad bio Kurt says that he just decided to add the hook and dollar bill as kind of a joke and stab at materialism. It wasn't even thought out.

@utuber377 well its' kind of funny, in the story i heard, they almost didn't get a record deal because of Beans. The people at sub pop thought they were reatarded or something because they included that song on there, lol. But Kurt did a lot of weird, experimental tracks like Beans. There's a song that went around on the bootleg circuit in the late 90's called Montage of Heck, which was just clips from old records Kurt had, and he messed with the recording to slow the clips down, stuff like that
