Some ladies braiding hair, others preparing wine and bread, then suddenly some men break the festive atmosphere to announce the men have to gather their swords and mount their horses, as battle is upon them. An arrow comes through the trees and in shock a maiden drops her cup to the floor. A couple, soon betrothed for marriage, share a kiss “do not worry fair Helena, I will return for thee, take this”. He jumps on his horse and rides off, she clutches his handkerchief he had just given to her and a single tear rolls down her cheek. In her heart of hearts she knows he will not return, just left with nothing to remember him by, but the smell of his teen spirit.... kinda vibes.
