I watched this video 3 or 4 years ago and started playing a little after watching this video, I got hooked on guitar and I've been practicing 4 hours for about 2 or a year and a half and I've been all over, Disco, Rock, metal, alternative, classical, Jazz, bossa nova, mathrock, and a few other genres and it even got me into some other instruments, I really hope I'll come back and see this comment one day with way more experience, if you're young and want to play, do not hesitate and just dedicate yourself to the music.

My son I showed this guy to him . My son took my guitar and in two days from scratch learned to play choruses and several parts of two Nirvana songs . Starting out with single sting chords I am impressed how fast my son has learned from this guy .

It's amazing how he played this so differently than the (original) Leadbelly version, while at the same time being so faithful to the song's feel. Personally, I love _playing_ the Leadbelly version, especially on 12-string; it's just fun! But Kurt's version has got this badass, bluesy 'edge' that makes hard not to love.
