@49bars don't take anything to seriously these days, and don't think too hard about things that will be important later on in life there is a time and a place for everything but make the more mature decisions if you're capable of it, An if you take advantage of the fact you can already see and accept that the world's a lot darker of a place than what it's painted out to be maybe it won't hit you all at once and leave you with all these questions if you just prepare yourself for the truth. And I don't really know how to help you specifically cause I don't know what you're going through exactly but everyone has problems if someone said they don't there lying or just too naive or young to see it. Just take things one step at a time you'll be fine bro 👍

I don’t know how I don’t remember this song at all being on this album I listened to it on the bus as a kid on the way to and from school religiously. Probably skipped ahead to my favorites or whatever at the time. This song captivated me recently I never was a huge fan of it until after being homeless and strung out for years in Washington state. It’s so eerie where I hear it now it almost scares me. I mean I feel like I am there with him in my old tent trying to get my tarp to stop leaking for real. It captures what it feels like and how you think about things. Even the tone of voice is just perfect it sounds like how you talk to yourself when you’re alone for a long time and you’re on drugs. Just raspy and almost wicked sounding. It’s so good. It takes me all the way there. Kurt is really such a good writer I can’t believe he was so good at tapping into that feeling. Unreal
@D.A.V.E.TheDrummer2 жыл бұрын
What is truly amazing about this song is the way it coveys such a huge emotional impression and observation of homlessness and bleakness, cold and rain, but also love and morals and values with such a minimal amount of information. Simple lyrics boiled right down to the absolute nub, 2 chords, simple cello and beat and repeated chorus. But it just knocks you over. When it happened in the Batman I had shivers, it was a great moment to drop such a haunting song. Film and music will always be a very powerful force, but this song, this version, stripped back, live, unplugged and laid bare is one of the worlds true musical gems. Life could be better but something is always in the way.
