Indeed. I think there are definite similarities between the so-called "Grunge Groups" - a lot of aggressive sounding music, not raw enough to be punk but not clean enough to be hard rock. I mean they used the term "Grunge" before Nirvana and the like got famous. I think "post-grunge" was all marketing though, totally.
