Dear Samaneri Jayasara, in the final section, the word "not" is missing in the recording. The text from I am That is: "What you need will come to you, if you do not ask for what you do not need." It does change the meaning of this pointer. With love.
@SamaneriJayasara2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for pointing out that mistake and it does have an impact on the overall meaning, although I do wonder of the power of not asking even for what we need! 😉 Still, that is not what Nisargadatta said. I have actually corrected it on the subtitles and will pin your comment so that people will see it. Unfortunately, the editor button and process in KZbin does not allow me to correct it, or add that extra NOT word, so I think I will have to delete this recording soon and repost with those corrections as it is a fairly important distinction and could confuse people. Thanks again John.

@@SamaneriJayasara Without having IT, how could we know what we need or not need anyway. And whos the judge here for what „i need“… me or the Self? In this sense, both versions could mean the same. Just a question of perspective.

Thanks John for this comment although I have only just noticed it! It is an important distinction, and I was battling with the point. Thank you again.

Thank you, Samaneri Jayasara. Nisargadatta just abruptly, unapologetically assassinates the root of delusion, in a way that is so unique. And, your clear understanding as you narrate, seems to intensify the power of the seed, and make more fertile the mind receiving it.

I am still amazed that at rare times I can let go of everything, and experience what I can only describe as heaven. I guess I gave up on joy for much of a life time, and so am surprised at this gift. I take no credit and it is no achievement, it simply has happened. Blessings to all.

wow, an other little gem. And that one sentence: What you need will come to you, only if you don't ask for what you need. 🙃😀. Nissergadatta is my favorite connector to source at the moment. Thanks for doing all this Divine work!

Thinking, too, about the mostly silent yogis & yoginas conferring Shaktipat on not only their devotees, but those who stumbled across their holy paths: Neem Karoli Baba & Sri Ramana Maharshi & Anandamayi Ma, for example. Their songs of the eternal presence - heard or unheard - ring through time and sometimes they're in these gorgeous videos.

From the adhyatma-upanishad: "7. Dissolve the self in the supreme Self as the pot-space is dissolved in infinite space; then, as the Infinite be silent for ever, O sage!". By bringing the mind to quietude again and again, the intervals of silence are prolonged by ignoring thoughts that arise. Know you to be that quiescence itself and rest in it as That itself. If one finds the mind to be producing thought, even saying aloud " all is Brahman, I am Brahman" will settle down it's activity. Gradually the mind will lessen it's convolutions until the mind finally rests permanently in the all pervading Silence and Peace that you are. Be always of the conviction "I am Brahman, there is nothing separate from me" until the reality of that dawns as direct experience. When mind moves no more, the karmic bonds are uprooted for good. You are already free, what you are is always everywhere, when thoughts proliferate they seem to cover this up. When no thoughts are there, there is nothing else to be done. Everything else that has to happen will take care of itself. Aum shanti shanti shanti ❤☺

One gets a real boost when finding something which is literally happening inside being described in such a clear, crystal way , it just awestruck, it seems old ones were right when they said all the scriptures, holybooks, helps you to be assured thats you are not the first human going through this, it's normal don't worry go ahead, thanks for sharing and reminding.
