@frostpat3759
@frostpat3759 5 жыл бұрын
How to Make It Step 1 Melt butter in a 13- x 9-inch baking dish. Step 2 Combine flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt; add milk, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened. Pour batter over butter (do not stir). Step 3 Bring remaining 1 cup sugar, peach slices, and lemon juice to a boil over high heat, stirring constantly; pour over batter (do not stir). Sprinkle with cinnamon, if desired. Step 4 Bake at 375° for 40 to 45 minutes or until golden brown. Serve cobbler warm or cool.

It was supremely well constructed and he ploughed through it with gusto, which was the right move. You get the studio audience that you get and there's no second take, improv in these tightly-timed quickly-filmed sets is way too big a risk, and even though audience response is built into the material this is a late night set and everything needs to be condensed.

I get that people don't like him, and I didn't vote for him but I'm not convinced he's the absolute worst president to date. There have been some pretty fucked up ones. Men who basically committed genocide and conducted unjust wars in which unspeakable atrocities were committed. Baby murderers and slave owners. Real human filth. I don't think 45 has done anything comparable to them. It's fine to joke about, but I don't agree it's legitimately true.

@Job Not sure if I have consistent favorites. But I'm really into British comedy, though. James Acaster's Netflix special is just amazing. David Mitchell isn't a strict comedian, but I love everything he does. Hard not to like Daniel Sloss. In the US, I think Bill Burr is a genius comedian, but his MRA and old man ramblings in recent years turned me off from him almost completely. Love Rory Scovel's stuff on Conan, but his Netflix special was such a disappointment for me.

Oh boy there's always that guy. There's nothing special about him. I watch UK panel shows to kill time sometimes and he's never a highlight. It's not because he's British. He's just nothing more than a decent comedian.
