Another channel offered some excellent advice. Always remove the fill plug first. That way if for some reason the fill plug won't come loose you won't be stranded with an empty diff and no way to fill it.

I see loosen the fill cap first. I do not see check the breather tub if that gets clogged the pressure build up will pop the seals. Nice no rust

No, unfortunately, this vehicle is 2WD, so there is no front differential on this one. Good luck with your project!- Mike

Were those crush washers on those bolts?

The washers on my differential drain plugs were solid washers- your application may be different. Good luck with your project!- Mike

Always pull the fill plug first just Incase it’s been hammered or stuck on.

Any issues after using this gear oil? I felt something slippage using amsoil gear oil. I have 2015 Armada.

My 2014 platinum reserve is making a nasty grinding noise in the back drive train could it be differential issues????
